  1. Hello! I recently got married and am starting to collect the evidence to start the I130. We tried to open an account in my husband country (Honduras), but they wouldn't add me to the account since am not a resident of Honduras; we don't have any properties under our names. My question is what other evidence can I submit?

    Current Evidence

    Marriage Certificate

    Wedding Pictures

    Honey Moon pictures and itinerary

Authorize User on my Citi Bank CC

I am a Authorize User on his CC

Affidavit of Friends and family (3)

Itinerary of my trips to Honduras

I am also, 6 months pregnant with our first child. Not sure if I can submit evidence of our ultrasounds.

    Thanks for y'all help!!!

  2. Also getting an UPDATED CURRENT police report - so that is within the 6 month expiration date.. (in preparation)

I did have a quick question - I only HAVE ONE ORIGINAL of all the BIrth Certificates and Marriage licence.. will the NVC want originals? wll the embassy also want origianals when I do an interview or will the NVC forward the originals onto them-- I don't care if I have any EXTRa ones at this time and I don't expect to get origianls back. but is ONE enough??

Make sure your police certificate is the "Antecedentes Policial" from the DNIC.

Yes, all requested civil documents have to be originals except a copy for the beneficiary passport to be submitted to NVC with a copy attach. NVC will forward everything that has been submitted to your case to the embassy, its best to carry originals and a copy just in case they misplace any documents.

  3. congratulations when did the NVC receive your IV package and scanned it in the system

IV package was mailed Next Day on Jan 14 . I didn't think of asking him when it got scanned in the system. The only think he ask was when I mailed it and what I had included, then he's like yes we have it all here and that they were waiting on my AOS package. I even asked if I need to send any additional doc and he said NO only AOS. Should call again and ask my received/scanned date?

I already called customer service at usps and they informed me that they will be giving me a full refund and if the package doesn't arrive tomorrow to give them a call to set an investigation. Even if they try to deliver the package tomorrow NVC will be close, so it will have to wait till Monday

  4. Called NVC today to see if they had reviewed my husband civil documents and the operator informed that they did and that they are only waiting on my AOS packet which I had mailed out next day (USPS) yesterday. I did ask the operator if I had to submit any additional civil documents and he said no just need the AOS. Also, how long it will take for them to process the AOS and he said 30 business days, but that must be a standard saying for them. Sooo I guess no check list for IV packetdancin5hr.gif .

My package was suppose to arrive today before 3pm at NVC, but when I track it, it keeps telling me its departed from the post office facility in Savannah today...Not to happy about that I paid $30 so it could arrive today. ranting33va.gif

  5. I emailed NVC on Jan 23 requesting a status on my husband DS261. I received this email yesterday afternoon. Does this mean my husband case is on hold until they received my AOS packet? I mailed out my civil documents on Jan 14 and NVC received Jan 15. Also, I never received an email for the AOS checklist . I haven't sent out my AOS packet because am going to use my 2013 tax return to qualify without a co-sponsor. Am just waiting for my 1099 from my night job which I have been requesting a copy from them since last week.

"A letter was sent to the petitioner or attorney of record indicating the
Affidavit of Support requirement for this case is incomplete. Please
submit the requested Affidavit of Support form(s) and/or financial
evidence, as indicated on the checklist. The requested information must
be submitted to the NVC for this file to continue processing."

  6. am filling out my husband DS-260 and I need help with the following question. Here's the thing. Husband got pulled over in 2006 for crack windshield, tinted windows, and no driver's license. Didn't get arrested just got tickets witch we paid. How do I answer this?

Have you ever been arrested or convicted for any offense or crime, even though subject of a pardon, amnesty, or other similar action? Yes or No. If yes, explain
