Honestly i updated my timeline the moment i got the news but the truth is i havent done my full review and i will tell you exactly why. First i too wonder that, i mean they have used others info to get the help they needed yet arent willing to give back... I TRULY THINK YOU SHOULD BE REQUIRED TO UPDATE YOUR INFO IF YOU ARE USING THIS SITE...... but that will never happen..lol. Okay, now on to the reason i havent put up a full review... you wouldnt believe it but after all the long waiting you do the interview is the point where a million more things needs to be done right away. they say yes at the interview but u still arent done til you pick up the visa( in our case i will just say that was a fun journey) the embassy lost his birth cert and police report so he had to go back to get one then take it back to the embassy. dealing with lagos traffic back and forth to the embassy and to the pick up location for the visa are just rediculous and the airport and buying tickets arent the funnest either. for me all i could think of was getting my baby next to me. Yet i did still update my timeline info asap..... also my mind was sooooo messed up from excitement , frustration and every other emotion that i couldnt think clear long enough to write any decent detailed review...lol

Hey sweetie!! well i wanted to tell u in REAL PEOPLE talk... the main thing you need to think about is that they are looking to make sure you meet the income RIGHT NOW. I included 5 years of tax transcripts/returns and i only meet the income requirement for this current job im at now. Prev years i was just below the amount they want and we had no problems getting aproved. sooooo, the main things that matter is that the current income you have( total of ALL income you have,IE...child support,work,ect...) is enugh to meet the requirement including you, kids, AND him. i spoke with a lawyer prev and he was telling me how the only reason they ask for the prev years returns (since they dont have to meet requirements) is to see the history. if you never had a job in life and this is your first time then it might be an issue as to if you are financially stable(can you find work) . if you made 15k a year for the last 5 yrs then all of a sudden you claim you are making 50k a year they may want to look into it a little more. hope my rambling helped....lol

LOL K and T. Okay I think we will be okay. The 3 shots seems to be the thing they all need regardless. I hear the physicians panel are very picky and even those coming in with vaccination proofs they still make um take the shots. So no wahala.
P.S. So you set he picked up Visa today right?
GGUUURRRLLLL!! we aint even gonna go into it!! DANG NIGERIA!! they LOST his birth cert copy he gave to them and his police report and called him yesterday to tell him to go get a new one and bring it back!! this junk that happens in NIGERIA!!! cant wait til we r done with them!!!! we dont even know when he will be picking up his visa now....

My baby had no proof or knowledge of him having any past shots so he went in needing ALL shots and he only went the first trip to the Dr. and got like 3 injections (2 in 1 arm and 1 in the other). He only went back the second day to pick up the results from everyting. no other shots where said to be needed at the interview. guess they can get those here in the U.S.????
OHHH, and I dont think it matters what type of visa a person is coming in on, think EVERYONE has the same requirements.

normally it is a week to the date so if he was approved on thursday the 12th then his visa should be ready next Thursday but could take 2 weeks to be ready I have seen some people lately that have been told to come in two weeks time. my best advice would be wait until he has visa in hand to book flight....Im happy for u congrats again!
thanks patient2010... he was approved wed so will have him go wed then....thanks!!

Have him call or you send an email to the embassy
Ya, we figured that but we would have to wait til monday to do that so we were seeing if others could tell us their experience to see how many days its took them for the K1 visa pick up....

Give CSC a call at the number JoeVisa provided and they'll send you a new NOA1 with the information entered. There was an error on my NOA1 and in a few days after calling CSC I received a revised one in the mail.

I CALLED AND PRESSED THE 1, THEN 1, THEN 1, THEN AFTER I PUT IN MY CASE NUMBER I PRESSED THE PROMPT TO TALK TO SOMEONE TO FIX SOMETHING. THEY SAID I DID NEED TO HAVE IT FIXED BECUZ IT MAY CAUSE AN ISSUE DOWN THE ROAD IF ITS NOT FIXED NOW... JUST A BIT OF INFO FOR OTHERS. MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS RIGHT ON THAT NOA-1FORM SO IT DOESNT CAUSE PROBLEMS LATER ON!!

Hello again everyone..... I have 3 questions at the moment hopefully i can get some info from people who are dealing with Nigeria. I am completing my initialI-129F packet and want to make sure everything is perfect so i dont cause my baby and I to get an RFE. Sooooo, here goes...
1) I see it saying in some places to have 4 copies of the G325A, I read also just 1 copy, so please tell me which is it?
2) I also just got my CERTIFIED copy of my divorce decree from my previous marriage ($26 !!), I already had just the divorce decree the court gave me but to make sure i dont get a RFE i just got a certified copy. My question now is do I send in the original or make a copy of it and keep the original for the interview?
3)Last but not least, on the I-129F on question 18 they ask me to write a letter explaining our meeting. can you tell me exactly what info they want, like how we meet AND the meeting in person or just a description of they events and everything from when i was actually there visiting. Im a very detailed person and dont want to write them a 5 paged letter....lol.
Well thank you in advance to all that help.....have a blessed day!

I am now using localphone.com.... i must say i LOOOOVEEE it!! was using calling cards before, wish i knew about this long ago... i pay like 6 cents a min to call nigeria. PLUS it keeps phone records so u can print your call history for the embassy for proof. so to make it easy for u, if you talk for 1 hour it costs $3.60 WITH proof of your calls to each other!! u cant beat that...
-
Ok everyone, sorry for asking questions that seem they should be easy to know the answers to but i hear some different things and just want to make sure because i am almost finished completing my I-129F packet so i NEED to make sure its perfect so im not stressing once i send it off. i have a few questions maybe people can help with from your experience with NIGERIA......
1) do i need 4 copies of the G-325A form for each of us or is it just 1 original with our original ink signature?? i have heard and seen it both ways.....
2)I got the certified copy of my divorce decree from my previous marriage but dont know if i should send them the copy of that and take the original to the interview or the opposite?
3) Last but not least, on the I-129F form question 18 they ask for a letter of how we met in person. do they want what led up to us meeting or just a description of what happened while i was there with him?
Again thank u all in advance for the info..... U all know this is life changing info that it priceless so i thank u all for helping.. means the world to me!

Thank u very much everyone, guess i will get a certified copy just to be on the safe side... I know Nigeria likes to stress u out over small things... better safe then sorry.

no requestin nothing, cant even pay someone off to get it faster.looool....... u just got to wait. and i will be honest and tell u not to count on any date they tell u. thats why they say dont buy the ticket til visa is in hand!! they mean it. my baby ended up going 3 different days to pick up the visa before he finally got it.
