  1. Don't wait for NVC to contact you. It would only delay things. Call them and ask if they have received your file from USCIS, and if a case number and an invoice identification number has been assigned already. When you call them, be prepared with your USCIS case number - that will be the one they'll use to look up your file.

    Thank you for your reply.

Well I think I should let my husband call them tomorrow just so we can have an idea about the actual status of our case in NVC.

    Thanks for the advice.

We didnt call not even once!My opinion is ,calling them is not gonna change the time you're gonna wait....you'll hear something soon..we heard from them after a month and three days after we received our NOA2...i am noticing even people who have called, got their case numbers for the same amount of time. You should send them an e-mail inquiry ...dont worry! You'll hear from them soon!!

Thanks for your reply...it made me relax a little. It's just frustrating to see everyone's timeline moving and I'm still stuck in the NOA2 stage :( :(

  2. we got approved on march 30th...but we still havent got any texts or e-mail notifications....

    that doesnt mean anything,right?

Try to register in USCIS again, and go to the part where you register your mobile phone or email to get an e-notification. This happened to my husband too...he said he didn't get any email so I asked him to go to the e-notification in USCIS website and register his email. Then after a few seconds, he got his email notifying him that our petition was approved.

  3. Hi.....

I filled I-130 for my spouse @ VSC as LPR on OCTOBER 17, 2011 and then upgrade the case to Citizen (UC) on December 9, 2011. Waiting for NOA2. I was able to fill Service inquiry @ VSC yesterday which tells me that my case was upgraded successfully.

Wondering people already got NOA2 who filled I-130 on October 2011 or still on a same boat as me.......@ WAITING GAME....... :bonk: .....NOA2 Should be around the corner though...:thumbs::thumbs:

    thanks.....

Hi! I filed my NOA1 last October 17, 2011 and when we checked USCIS this morning and saw this:

"On April 11, 2012, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283"

I guess they are approving everyone in OCTOBER!!! YAYYYY!
