  1. We have had our biometrics, gotten our EAD and been transferred to the CSC for faster processing. After 5 months of waiting, we got an RFE. Don't count your chickens before they hatch.

Just a little question: was your case transfered to CSC in Laguna Niguel? I was just checking your timeline and it's quite similar to mine. My case was also transfered and I didn't hear a word since then.:-((((

  2. We talked to the agent from USCIS, they said our case transferred to Salt Lake City and we should get something from them within 30 days. No information changed on their site, and we don't know if we're going to have an interview. Looks like we're waiting again. But it's better than nothing. You should call them too.

My husband said to talk to agent you follow the instructions, to check your status and after you tell your case number, you press number 3 (report a problem) so you'll talk to agent.

Thanks for the tip! I finally talked to an agent and according to her the CSC Office is processing the cases from August 25th. My receipt date is September 14th, so I guess I will hear from them soon, I hope!

  3. Same here, filed in september, CSC transfer, still waiting. We didn't file AP too, I expected to get GC as all people do in 4 month. We're stuck. We made an appointment to Infopass and talked to officer there. Waste of time, no help. Politely smiting he said that we're just fine and if we want we can make inquiry about our case we should call to CSC. We did, they deny to make inquiry because our time is not expired yet. But I really really need to go back to Russia before April. Really hate them (((

yeah, I tried to call them and no way to talk to an agent. According to the phone system the time frame to have our AOS processed is 180 days AFTER the transfer. Which means we have to wait until the end of April, at least in my case, to open a request. I definitely share your anger!!!!

  4. We are oriented to send a copy of the DS 3025. It should have been given to her with the sealed envelope.

    1 - Check this out:http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/101202-faqs-forms-i-693-and-ds-3025/

"Why are K non-immigrant visa holders asked to include a vaccination supplement when filing Form I-485 to adjust status?

Some countries allow K non-immigrant visa applicants to defer their vaccinations until after they arrive in the U.S. If the beneficiary's vaccinations were not completed as part of the visa process, it is necessary to include form I-693- part 1, part 2-vaccination section, and part 5 in the application.

If the beneficiary's vaccinations were COMPLETED as part of the visa process, IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO INCLUDE FORM I-693 IN THE AOS SUBMISSION. All your medical information is enclosed in the brown envelope which was handed in at the POE. The envelope is then forwarded on to USCIS where it will be consolidated with the I-485 submission, once received. If you received a copy of the Vaccination Documentation Worksheet (Form DS-3025) from your Panel Physician, you may include a copy of that form in your AOS submission in place of Form I-693."

I found a post of another VJ member in the same situation as you.http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/210890-ds-3025-i-dont-have-one/

What I could understand and from my personal experience, you are supposed to send a copy of the DS3025. Since you guys don't have it and following the examples of others who also didn't receive it from their doctors, you could include a letter explaining that to the USCIS and see if they will send you a RFE or not.

If it happens you will have to look for an authorized Civil Surgeon in your city and fill out the I693. you have to be able to prove that she took all the vaccinations, otherwise she will have to take them again. ( My personal friend had to do that since USCIS lost his board vaccination copy )

    Hope it helps, good luck!

  5. Also, the authorized doctors are oriented to give the applicant a copy of the DS-3025 ( the vaccination board) since you will be asked to send it again during the adjustment of status. The I 693 has to be filled only if you don't have your vaccination board, if you're missing obligated shots, or if your exams have expired (they're valid for 12 months)

See what the VJ AOS step-by-step says: "11. I-693, Medical Examination of Aliens Seeking Adjustment of Status.I-693, Medical Examination of Aliens Seeking Adjustment of Status. If you are a K-1, K-2, K-3 or K-4 visa holder the I-693 instructions state that you are not required to have another medical examination as long as your Form I-485 is filed within one year of your overseas medical examination. If you are missing any shots from your overseas medical a I-693 vaccination transcription is required to be completed by seeing a Civil Surgeon to have certain portions of the I-693 completed and have the Civil Surgeon certify the form (sealing the original in an envelope and giving you a copy). "

  6. when she went to the interview, did she provide to the consulate a sealed envelope with her exams? I believe so. Also, as Pocheros said the doc was supposed to give a copy of the DS-3025 (board vaccination) to her. The exams she provided are valid for one year. The only thing you have to send now is a copy of the DS-3025.

Just check two things: 1st,take a look if her doctor checked a box which says "incomplete" in her DS-3025. My doctor did it (I don't know why) even though I had taken all the vaccines which were asked by the consulate ( I bet it had to be incomplete since some vaccines don't apply to our case). This caused a big trouble for me because I had to visit a civil surgeon here in the States and do a TB skin test and most Brazilians give a false positive to this exam since all of us took the BCG vaccine as babies. I had to do an Xray (which I had already done in Brazil) just to confirm I wasn't sick. I friend of mine who went to the same doctor in Brazil and had the same "incomplete" box checked, decided to send her AOS without going to a Civil Surgeon and received a RFE right after her NOA1. So, just to avoid future stress and also delays in the process, I would give some attention to it.

2nd: if her DS-3025 is complete, check the date the exams were done. If they are still valid I believe you guys won't have any problem or need to do another exam.

If not, she doesn't need to go back to Canada. She can do them here. Just look for an authorized civil surgeon in Florida.

  7. Hi guys!

I've been pretty anxious about my currently situation and would like to see if someone who's going through the same problem could share your experience with me.

I sent my AOS package last August 31 and 15 days later I got the NOA1. I also had my biometrics appointment scheduled for October 11. On November 18 I received an email that my case had been transferred to an office in California in order to speed the process. 15 days later I got my EAD and since then I didn't hear a word from them.

It's been more than 5 months since I started the process and I thought I would be with my GC already by this time of the year. I've been planning my trip back to Brazil but not being able to purchase the tickets since I am not sure when I am gonna get it. I've checked the time line and according to that, the process usually takes 4 months. But I don't know if this four months should be counted by the moment you sent your package or when they had it transferred to the other office in CA.

Any thoughts, comments or advice will be truly appreciated!

  8. I know exactly how you're feeling! I have experienced the same situation and had to go through the same process. While in Brazil, I had all the exams and vaccinations required by the consulate done but the doctor checked my vaccination board as incomplete. I also had an X-ray done and according to the doctor everything was fine. I got completely frustrated when I saw that the doctor had checked the incomplete box on my board vaccination and, because of that, I had to have the form I 693 filled out by a Civil Surgeon. (which I came to realize later IT WASN'T necessary! Actually, our VB will always be incomplete since some of the vaccines listed there don't apply to our case :-/) I just read that after having my appointment with the CS where i was also diagnosed positive to the TB skin test. After that, I was sent to a Health Department and had an x-ray done. Similarly, I knew I wasn't sick because I had done the x-ray in Brazil and everything was ok! Also, I had taken the BCG which means there's a huge chance to be positive with the infection not the DISEASE. Anyway, it took two looong weeks to get the results and AS I EXPECTED I was positive with the infection but negative for the disease. I was considered a non risk person, even though I was recommended to take a six month treatment. Here they consider the POSSIBILITY of you to develop the disease in the future. You're not obliged BUT if you deny you have to sign a paper where you take the responsibility for any future problem. I refused to do the treatment since you will have to take strong antibiotics which might cause you other heath problems. In Brazil, we have the same treatment BUT it's only administered if you present signs of the disease. Finally, I went back to the CS with the x-ray result and he completed the I 693 and gave it back to me in a sealed envelope. PLEASE, DON'T FORGET TO ASK FOR A COPY OF THE ENTIRE PACKAGE. I could finally send my AOS and there was no problem so far. I had my biometrics done today and now I am waiting for the next steps.

I was as frustrated as you but I got even more disappointed when I read on VJ that I didn't need to go through all this stress since I could have sent the vaccination board without doing all this BS.

you will be fine. Don't worry! I just want to share my story so you can understand what's next.:-)

  9. Hi guys!

Just to let you know that everything went fine and I had my biometrics done :D. In fact, you CAN DO IT in any Application Support Center. They schedule your appointment to the closest one, according to your address but if for any reason you can't go to that specific office it's possible to do it in a different one. I had called the Costume Service and asked before the appointment day, and they told me there wasn't any problem. When I got there this morning they didn't even look to the date nor the address I was scheduled. My appointment was at 9am but I got there at 8:30 and left in 10 min. Now I am back to the waiting game :P

    Thanks a lot!

  10. Hi guys!

Here I am (again) to ask for help. After 20 days I finally received the I 797C related to my AOS.yay!!! But with it, it also comes another problem. My husband got a job offer and we had to move to another State. We were living in Oklahoma when we filled out the AOS, at his parents house, and now we're living in Denver, CO. We filled out the AR-11 and called the CSC to inform our address changing. However, I got my biometrics appointment scheduled to Oklahoma City. Is it possible to have it re-scheduled to the USICS office in Denver or should I fly back to Oklahoma and have it done there, even though i have already changed my address at the USCIS data base?

thank you so very much for your help!

  11. It's the emoticon's that made it seem rude. The laughing one implied you though it was hysterical they didn't understand you and were laughing AT them, and the bonk one (which I hate) implies you think they're a complete moron who needs to be hit over the head with a mallet to knock some sense into them. I really really hate the bonking one which is why I removed it when I quoted you.

    Hi again Vanessa,

let's reflect about your words together:

"The laughing one implied you thought..." implied...I doesn't mean it was, right?

"they didn't understand you and were laughing AT them" Them? Who are them? I answer that to Mat, only...

" implies you think they're a complete moron..." implies again... I think? How do you know that?

" I really really hate the bonking one..." your personal(for not to say judgmental) opinion. Not my intention.

I could interpret my emoticons in a totally different perception than yours, for instance:

The laughing one meant that I was laughing AT my OWN joke (once again, just to remind you I said "just kidding" do you remember that?) The bonking one meant I WAS THE MORON since I had expressed myself wrongly.

Your words, AGAIN, sounds pretty much judgmental and emotive. What is interesting is that you seem to be much more sensitive to them than the person who they were directed to. Life is too short Vanessa for all this stupid discussion and honestly I THINK we are BOTH wasting a precious time here. So, let's return to the main objective of this forum: HELP AND BEING HELPED, instead of JUDGE AND BEING JUDGED.

  12. Apparently you didn't know that as you said: "My greatest fear is that my K1 visa expires on Oct. 3rd and I don't know what I'm supposed to do if they don't contact me on time".

Sorry, I'm just responding to your words.

I am the one who has to say I am sorry. I was just kidding but it doesn't seem it was an understandable joke  . Thank you so very much for pointing out this difference

  13. This is a little bit of a rude reaction seeing that the person who corrected you was perfectly correct. Your visa expiry and I-94 are two different dates. I landed in the US with about 5 months left on my visa "expiry" and I would hope someone would correct me if I thought my VISA expiry was the date that matters... which it isn't.

You claim to know all this and yet your post implies otherwise and COULD confuse other members who don't know the difference between visa expiry and I-94 expiry (and especially seeing the difference is a large one).

I am so sorry Vanessa if my words sounded rude to you. Sincerely, it wasn't my intention quite the contrary. I thought I had made it clear I was " just kidding" but due to your words I realized I hadn't and I am really sorry for that. VJ has been a great tool during my entire visa process and I am truly thankful for all those who have been willing to help. However, I believe your reaction is a bit more than rude. First, if you had the chance to read the entire post and the comments which followed it, people don't seem to be "confused" by my question. All the answers (including YOURS) are clear and helped me a lot. I totally agree there's a huge difference between visa expiration and I 94 expiration and I have to thank Mat for pointing it out, BUT it seemed to me that EVERYBODY (according to the answers) understood my point. Honestly, none of us are here to "claim to know all this". If i knew "all this" why would I be here asking for help? What's the point?

Once again I am sorry if you felt offended by my words but you should also reflect about yours. Being judgmental might lead us to unnecessary discomforts.

  14. pls try to phone uscis at 1-800-375 5283 8am to 8 pm very helpfull just give them your A # they will look into the system to see if your paper work is in the system

Thanks! We have called them already but they said it's too early for them to give us any information. We definitely have to wait. My big concern is since I don't have any notification which shows that I have applied to the AOS I could find myself in trouble if someone asked for my documents. Of course I have my SSC and my ML but it doesn't mean I have send my package on time.

    Thanks again!

  15. No. If you read the I-693 instruction they tell you a different story. The DS-3025 is sufficient if you had every shot. If you required further shots then you get a vaccination transcription.. or you can get the transcription anyway like I did just in case. You can even get the whole new medical if you want, but it's not required. If your shots were complete (regardless of the form saying complete or not) then you would have been fine with the DS-3025.

You had every shot required for immigration, but you were NOT "completely" immunised. You didn't have every single shot on the DS-3025, if you did THEN you would have had "complete" ticked. It's in the panel physician technical instructions, it wasn't wrong.

I understand. Well, better safe than sorry  I just wanted to avoid a further RFE.

  16. Because unless you had EVERY shot on the list then you WERE incomplete (and not all shots apply to everyone based on their age and health). That's the way it's supposed to be done. If you had all shots you don't need a vaccination transcription and could have just sent a copy of the DS-3025.

I had all the shots and exams which were required from me by the consulate before the interview . Even though, the doctor checked the "incomplete" box on my DS -3025 form. According to the instructions to the AOS, if it happens you have to report your vaccination board to a Civil Surgeon to complete the I 693 form and I did. It was really frustrating when the doctor looked at me and said everything was ok!( I knew that!) It was just a waste of time and money  .
