eh - K2 FTJ cases are really strange in Guangzhou - you've made it doubly strange since you've got a MTL casefile #.

Send in the Packet 3 documents on the child to GUZ IV.

Once they have it - they will get yer casefile out of SAFEFILE system, and then assign your son an interview date.

Study this a bit, as you need some forms:

When you send in the packet 3 checklist and DS-230 Part I - make sure you include a cover letter, written in English, reminding them to transfer your casefile, and include a copy of your NOA-2 and MTL casefile #.

Don't wait any longer to call NVC - GUZ IV won't begin doing anything without the packet 3 returned by your son.

most email replies are by PRC local employees, not USCitizens - they probably are much confused.

When you email in again -

ASK FOR Consular Review of your email, by a Visa Officer.

ALSO - NVC can also request a casefile transfer - in essence, this is what you need -

talk to a Supervisor at NVC, ask them to initiate a SAFEFILE COPY REQUEST on yer casefile,

FROM MTL to GUZ IV.

I'm Chinese,work visa in Canada,got my K1 visa in Montreal Canada.I have married in USA.Now,I want to apply for my son (19.5 years old) in China.I called NVC and was told that ask US Embassy in Guangzhou China to request my file from Montreal Canada.

I sent 4 emails to Guangzhou,but they keep asking my GUZ number.My number is MTL(Montreal Canada),not GUZ.

My questions are: 1, Do I have other way to contact US Embassy in Guangzhou China except Email?

2, What should I do?

We sat on the Bridge for 1 hour and 10 minutes... there is construction and it is like that every day untl about 8 at night!!!

But after going into the office, everyone was nice and it was just a matter of waiting while they entered stuff in the computer. It was all nonthreatening, no trick questions... and then in 40 minutes we left!

Finally,I got my waybill number.My interview was on Oct 18(approval).My visa was issued on Nov 1.I got email from DHL at 6:30Pm,email from CSC at 10:30Pm and I think they posted my waybill number on CSC website at 10:00Pm.So I will pick up in Markham tomorrow.

Just thought I'd let you guys know about the good news ! Also, it was suppose to go to Markham location as I had picked that location on CSC website, but when I got a final email this morning, it stated that it's ready for pickup at their main facility located in Brampton. I thought it was a mistake, but then I decided to call before I headed out, and it was indeed at the wrong location. Anyway, instead of doing anything about it over the phone, I busted a U turn on my rental and went the other way . So the moral of the story is that please don't assume that it'll be at the location you've specified (especially in the GTA as both locations are within 30 kms of each other), call in after you get the final email to verify before you go to pick it up! Thanks again you guys for your support and walking us through this process, couldn't have done it without the VJ family

Thank you, you should try to contact DOS and find out if your visa has been printed, Call 202-663-1225 and speak with a representative. If it has, then if I were you, I'd email Montreal and find out about the status of your passport! Good luck to you guys

you already have your k1 visa and you included your son in the 129 form so he is still entitled a K2 visa...ask if you can request another interview schedule for him at the US embassy in china (with all the docs you have/he needs).

when you get to the US you will get married and apply for AOS, within one year he can follow you, or if he is not granted an interview again in china, after you get your green card you can apply for a visa for your son as immediate relative using form I-130
