  1. A CR1 will take about a year from filing date. I am not sure if you are covered by a USCIS field office, someone will verify that to see if a direct processing is available. If you file from there before you move there seems to be a shorter timeline for those USC's who use a foreign address even in the CR1 line but you are still not going to be together in time for the birth. With a child you will also need a job that covers 3 heads.

Will it be okay for me to file from here with a foreign address if it is not permanent, and if I have to return to the US?

  2. My husband was given a K1 Visa last July, and we were married in the US in August. We applied for his Adjustment of Status, but he decided to move back to Norway before his official interview. Now we are both in Norway, but I am facing the possibility of having to return to the US. If I have to return, we would want to file for a IR-1 / CR-1 Visa. Would there be any issues because he left before his Adjustment of Status was official? Do we have to start the process from the beginning, or is there anything we can do because we filed before?

We are expecting our first child in September, and want to try to be together for it. I'm just not sure how realistic that is.

  3. Things are very fast after NOA2 approval at Manila US Embassy...We don't have to wait for packets anymore coz' they say sometimes it never comes, they are just instructions on the required documents to bring for the Interview and how to schedule medical, After getting the case # from NVC we can pay the visa fee already and schedule the Interview online..For Medical we can register online or just do a walk-in at the designated Embassy assoc. clinic (St. Lukes Extension Clinic for Manila) This is really a case to case basis depending on your US Embassy and we are very lucky that everything goes smoothly after NOA2 at the Manila US EMbassy! :D Best of Luck to Everyone still waiting! God Bless... :star: :star: :star: :star: :star:

Good luck, I'm glad to see everything is moving along for you!!

I just got our case number, and our papers were forwarded to the Stockholm Embassy three days ago. :)

  4. I agree that destroying the laptop wasn't the most thoughtful idea. The daughter does deserve to have her laptop taken away...but I like one of the above suggestions of donating it. Sell it even. At least make use of it.

I understand how frustrated the dad must be though. To write things like that about your parents is embarrassing, and just rude.
