Hi All,

Its been a while since i've been on here but here's hoping i can get some much needed help again.

I am about to mail my I-751 to remove conditions, my 2 year gc runs out next month...yeah left it late again....

My question is....my 2 children came to the USA at the same time as me we filed paperwork at same time but they weren't approved till a few month after me...therefor their greencards dont expire till march 09,

I read somewhere that i could still file for removal for them at the same time as my I-751...can anyone confirm this and supply info on how to do it, or have i been a pure airhead and miss read somthing, and its not possible to do this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi, first let me congratulate you on your approval thats great news,

Secondly,...i finally got my greencard in the mail today, great news, but i also got some seriously bad news, my childrens cases were denied, according to CSC it was because the affidavits of support did not meet the guidelines to support the children, after rechecking the guidelines they are well above the amount needed, so i have to try to find out how to file a motion to re-open the cases, my post on this forum explains more.

This was after recieving a RFE for a new affidavit of support which i sent a while back so i have no idea what i need to do except file a motion to re-open their cases and try to sort it

Anyways back to you approval, good luck in recieving your green card

Did you ever get an explaination on why it took so long for you to get your GC after you got your welcome letter ??

To cut a long story short, they tried to say i had never been approved because i didn't go for my biometrics, even thought i had reciepts for bio's, and approval letter in hand every time i called, finally i got a very nice lady at the 1-800 number and she managed to get it sorted for me and get my card printed and mailed to me.

My journey has been so bad with mine and my children's being screwed up so much

I'll keep you's all up to date with any progress i make on my children's cases

Meauxna has a point. Did you mother-in-law execute an I-864A to contribute any of her income (if she has any) to the joint sponsor's Affidavit?

My husband sponsored us as the main sponsor, he did not earn enough as far as the guidelines went, so his parents joint-sponsored me and my children, his father being the joint sponsor and his mother being the joint sponsors house hold member.

I applied for my childrens AOS the same time as mine so the household size numbers were 4 for my husbands form, myself, 2 children and my husband, and on his parents form they put household size as 5, both parent myself and my 2 children, we checked the income level and it was enough to cover all of us.

Hi All,

I got the mail today and had some great news, my green card finally arrived after being approved 14 September.

I also got some terrible news,....

Letters stating that my 2 childrens cases were denied, reason given....

The affudavits of support do not meet the requirements because the sponsor and co-sponsors fail to meet the minimum requirements as indicated from the poverty guidelines.

I cant understand why they have been denied as the affidavids of support from sponsor and co-sponsors were enough when they approved me and the ones i sent with the childrens applications were copies of mine.

It also states that i can not appeal but i can file a motion to have the cases re-opened.

Could someone please advise me how to do this.

I'm in tears and in a state as to what to do next i really need some help.

OH why did I bother calling the 1800 number. She was like, don't compare your case to anyone elses and yelled at me for asking each question and comparing, so I hung up on her and thanked her for her lack of help. Anyone know how to get to a higher up who can tell me more than what I can find myself online?

The same thing happened to me, except i had the same abusive person 3 times in a row when i called, finally i called back but went about it a different way,for examle, instead of punching #2, then 1, then 4 .... i punched 2, then 1 then 2 then 6,....(cant remember exactly what numbers i punched), and i ended up speaking to a very nice, polite, helpful lady, i managed to get the abusive lady's name and work id #, the helpful lady even gave me an addy to write to to make a complaint about the abusive one. (which i will deffinatly be doing once my children and myself have our greencards)

After try for 3 weeks with the abusive lady and getting no where, the very nice lady had it sorted for me in 2 days

On October 19, 2006, after approving your application, we ordered you a new card. Your card will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready.

Just hoping it arrives without any more problems

A little more of the soap opera.....lol

The mail ran yesterday and guess what, a letter from CSC, i thought yeah greencard, but no it was yet another biometrics appointment letter, this time for tuesday 24th oct, so according to CSC i have to have bio's on 22 oct and 23 oct......what a laugh.

Anyways i check the status case online this am, which i aint done in a while coz i was peed with the whole situation, and the status had change, i had this email.......

Sorry i haven't been intouch with you all lately but work has been crazy.

Not to mention all this bull cr@p with immigration.

No greencard yet, i did call them and got a rather abrupt woman on the phone who didn't seem interested in anything i had to say, so i left it a couple of days and called back, and low and behold i got the same woman again, ...got no satisfaction,...so left it another couple of days and was gonna call again.

Two days ago i got snail mail from CSC and was so excited while opening it, but it wasn't a green card....it was a letter asking me to go for my biometrics on monday oct 23.

I was so angry coz i have already had them done, i called the mis-information line again and would you believe it, i got the same abrupt woman, 3 times in a row, just my luck, she was so abusive me to, spoke to me like i was an idiot so i hung up on her after giving her a piece of my mind, and called straight back in the hope i would get a different woman, and thank god i did.

She was so helpful and tried real hard to sort this mess out for me, i am waiting for a reply to the question of weather i have to go for another set of biometrics, after having the originals taken in july.

The best bit is she said my case wasn't approved till oct 5th, and an approval letter/welcome letter will be mailed to me...... even thought i have my approval letter/welcome letter dated 14th Sept recieved 19th sept, strange how i can have a letter from CSC that they haven't even sent to me yet.... ohhh well guess my case is in the lap of the gods at the moment, just hoping and praying that they sort it.

Current Status:

The interview scheduled in this case has been canceled. You will be notified if the interview is rescheduled.

The problem i have is my daughters case was tranfered to CSC and an interview was never scheduled, so how can they cancel one which was never scheduled?

This is getting really stupid, if it aint my case being mucked up its the kids's

Plus I cant call till tomorrow coz i have a long shift at work.

No new developments as of yesterday, but will keep you informed.

This is all getting ridicules its been 30 days tomorrow since the date on my welcome letter and still no sign of the green card arriving, if i have to call again tomorrow (30 days) i just hope i am not to frustrate with the situation and say something i will regret, because this is all gettin past the joke now.
