We just got our interview date!!! May 14th in Montreal!!

Case complete email from NVC today!! When I called the guy said they only schedule interviews during the first two weeks of every month. I saw something about this on an earlier post on this thread, but can't find it now. Does anyone know if it's true?

We filed in August (NOA1 Aug 23rd) and got approved on Feb 22!!! I'm in Canada with my husband right now and we are celebrating! Good luck to all who are still waiting. It will come soon, it seems that CSC has really picked up their pace lately with the I-130s.

It must be coming soon for all of you. I got a call from my congressperson's liaison today who informed me that our I-130 application had been approved yesterday!!!!!!!!!!! Still no update on the USCIS website, but she did forward me the email from someone at the California Service Center that had all of our specifics and stated that we had been approved!!!! If you haven't been in touch with your congressperson yet, now is the time. In our case it was VERY helpful.

I just called USCIS and the agent told me they are currently processing applications from August 2, 2011. Our NOA1 is August 23, so he wouldn't file a service request for me. But I take the fact that they are now saying August 2nd as a good sign.

Has anyone called USCIS lately? I called today and the man I spoke with told me they are currently processing applications from June 1st, 2011 ?!?! They are going backwards? When I mentioned to him that I called last week and they told me they were processing applications from July 12, 2011, he said, let me check. And then he said, oh yes, they are currently processing applications from July 12. Where are they getting this processing information and why did he tell me June 1st?

My husband had his interview on Monday in Montreal and was approved! (Review is in the works.) At the interview two different people told him that he would get back the contents of the Do Not Open envelope when he crosses the border. They said this includes some original tax documents we gave them as part of the I-864 (W2s), birth and marriage certificates, etc. Is this correct? Do they give back all of our documents at POE?
