  1. Hello fellow Visa adventurers,

So I have a question in mind, which I'm sure other people have dealt with in the past. When I applied for my passport, they required me to have an up to date birth certificate (vertical). When I received my new birth certificate, They had my name listed as "Byron Xavier Sanchez-Saravia". My original B.C. had "Byron Xavier Sanchez Saravia" (no hyphen). I don't know why they did this, because I never used a hyphen. Sanchez is my father's last name and Saravia was my mother's.

I also moved to another city, so I had to update my Driver's License, and the people at the DMV saw my birth certificate and went with that name. So now my Driver's License states "Byron Xavier Sanchez-Saravia". However, my passport only has Byron X. Sanchez, and my SS has Byron X. Sanchez. I usually just right Byron X. Sanchez. That's how I have it on all my debit and credit cards.

Now that I'm filling out the I-129F, I am a little confused as to what I should put down. Should I put the complete "Byron Xavier Sanchez-Saravia" or just simply Byron Xavier Sanchez. And if I do go with the complete name, should I put the Hyphen? Sorry to bother everyone, but I just want to make sure I have this right. Thanks in advance and Happy Labor day to everyone :)

    -Byron
