Thanks for the well wishes. I called the embassy but they would not talk specifics. So I emailed them. They say they have asked the Ukraine authorities for clarification. I assured them that the divorce decree is the official date of her divorce and that we contacted the ZAGS office and they agreed. But they just said we need to wait patiently. How could anyone be patient in a time like this?!

I am so upset. Today Olga went to her interview. It should have been a simple process. She had all of the documents to show I have been to Odessa 6 times and that I can support her and her son. But it was a train wreck. She was divorced in October 2009 and has the court document to prove it. But in the Ukraine you are also supposed to get your Passport updated to reflect your divorce. This extra step takes time and money that she did not have, so she did not do it until December 2011. Now our...

Congrats on a successful process so far. My fiancee is going to Kiev for her interview at the end of the month and we are hoping to have her and her son fly to USA for Valentine's Day. How difficult/time consuming was the Port of Entry processing? I live in Syracuse, NY and it appears we will probably use O'Hare in Chicago as her Port of Entry. Thanks!!

Yes thanks very much. I am just leaving the Ukraine now. She has her NVC number and has a medical exam for her and her son set up for January 17. Tuesday she is calling the call center to set up an interview!!!

I received the NOA2 on Dec 16, but I have not heard from the USCIS since then. My fiancee has not received a letter from the consulate in Kiev. When you received your NOA2, what happened next? How did your fiancee know to call and schedule her interview? Thanks.
