Just an update on my mom petition. Ceac says the visa has now been issued. yayy!! After 9 months of process it will finally come to an end soon.

just a little update on my mom case. She is finally cleared on her medical after 2 months delay because she needed to do the sputum culture. Now her interview will be on oct 16. I'm nervous and so she is . Praying that she will pass.

Who sets the appointment for medical examination at SLEC? Do my parents need to call to make the appointment or should they wait for a notice from the embassy?

my mom will have her interview next month too. Slec is a first come first serve basis no appt needed. My mom did her medical last july 4, i'm glad i told her to do it early as they seen a tiny bit blurred on her xray and now they wanted her to do the sputum on july 26,27 and 28. I would suggest for your parents to do the medical as early as possible as you'll never know what will be the result is .

When will your mom gonna have her medical exam? Is it okay to have the medical exam 1 week prior to interview? I came from mindanao and I planned to stay in manila for just 1 week to cover both medical exam and interview... Will it be okay??

Nvc, originally scheduled her interview on august 17 but i reschedule it to much earlier date which is july 19 and i told her to do her medical last july 4th. But unfortunately she failed the xray, they saw just a tiny blurred on her chest xray and so they want her to do the sputum on july 26,27 and 28.So now i will need to cancel her interview and wait till she's clear on her medical so i can get a new interview scheduled.   To answer your question, yes you can do the medical 1 week prior to the interview but if it was to me i will do it much earlier as you'll never know what will happen.  

Same thing happen to me. Got my mom first interview letter on june 30 and the 2nd one is on july 5. Since it's the same content i won't be bother on calling them .

Yes, nvc scheduled the interview but the medical is on a first come first serve basis no appt needed.

yes almost  she did her medical yesterday but unfortunately failed the xray and she needed to do the sputum on july 26,27 and 28. . I just did this yesterday for my mom. Just go to their website and register, it's a first come first serve basis no appt needed. Just bring your interview letter and the registration confirmation. 

My mom got her interview scheduled on august 17 ,yayyy!! i'm so excited and nervous at the same time  Goodluck to every one! it will soon come to an end.  

After 9 weeks of submitting all the documents to the nvc i finally got an email today that they will soon be scheduling my mom for an interview. And also they said that i need to send an additional document which i am 100% sure that i already included in the packet that i sent to them.  oh well !! LOL i'm nervous and excited for my mom !! Now my question is, can i go with her on the interview?

Same here waiting for an interview. It's been 5 weeks now since i pass all the required documents.  Hoping we all hear something soon!! Good luck!

That's where i sent mine last monday and i did put all their documents and my documents in one folder all together .

I just send all the financial and supporting documents on monday. We have a little hold as the holy week came and my mom took 2 weeks to get all of her documents together .So i will advice you guys to gather all of them now.  I've read that it will took them 11 weeks to review all the documents. I'm praying that they won't ask for more so we can go to the next step which is the medical and interview.

How's everyone doing? Just an update, on march 23, i paid the $120 fee and we are now just waiting for it to get cleared so we can start sending all the affidavit of support documents  

Just an update. I received the nvc welcome letter with the mnl case number today. Now time to pay fees and gather all documents that's needed.  Again, goodluck to everyone

I applied 4 days before you. But routed to Texas...still waiting.

My mom is currently in the philippines. It's a nerve wracking right now to wait for the next step  Good luck!

got an approval on march 1   waiting patiently for the next step

Just receive a text and email notification today that case was accepted and it's routed to nebraska service center.  

And so my journey petitioning my mom has begun  i sent the application on Jan 23. I'm nervous and excited! I hope it will go smoothly... Goodluck to everyone
