We filed for the lockbox procedure I-601 on September 19, 2012. Today, 9/27, still haven't received a receipt yet.
I have read in the past that Mexico had 90% of the I-601s, rather than 75%
I also read that they were getting answers as fast as 72 hours.
I have seen 6 months, 4 months and 3 months as 'goal' turnaround times.
I have NOT seen anyone posting who has been approved thru the lockbox system.
I would assume that the since Mexico has an option to continue filing in Mexico for 6 months, that the volume experienced at the lockbox facility will be low until after November. Hope that benefits us.
Hey there's a spreadsheet on immigrate2US.net on who's been approved when they sent it, from what country, etc. here is the link
:

Hope that helps a little

Here is the i2us Lockbox spreadsheet:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aklf6FkpeWogdF9hOGZUS044ZmV4SjE4NWllV3NEdlE#gid=0
and the thread for Lockbox timeline updates is here:
http://immigrate2us.net/forum/showthread.php?110612-I-601-Lockbox-Timelines
and this is the thread for general discussion of the Lockbox.
It sounds like things are kind of hit-or-miss right now as they start implementing the program. For example, Starcrossed11's husband AND brother-in-law both submitted waivers at the same time, both got receipt notices the same days, but her husband's has already been approved while BIL is still processing. Although the wait is terrible, I wouldn't start to worry about the receipt notice until at least 30 days or so have gone by.
Hey thank you so much for the links
yea I saw that on I2US this whole process messes up people's heads, I'm just so anxious cause we are so close but yet so far hopefully we all hear some could news soon

There is a spreadsheet with information on the site,if I find the link I will post it for you. I mailed my husband's I-601 to the Phoenix Lockbox from the US on 6/16/12 using Priority Mail. It was received in Phoenix on 6/18/12, and my husband received his I-797 in Canada yesterday. So it took about 7 business days to receive a receipt in Canada. Hope this information helps!!
Oh okk I'm just a little worried cause I haven't received anything. So is it sent to the beneficiary, petitioner or both? Cause it's been 5 business days since I've sent it. And if you can find the link I would appreciate it if you sent me thanksssss

Hey guys I sent my waiver to the Phoenix lockbox on June 21st and I haven't received the receipt or the email from them...I'm kinda worried because I see from people in I2US recieved theirs in 2-4 days, what if it got lost? So I wanted to know if anyone sent theirs there and how long did it take for you to get notification that they got your waiver packet?

Congrats!!
When was your case completed at the NVC?
Im not sure the specific date because mine was sent to Rio due to an expedite request. I have to finish updating my signature
-
Yay! Got my interview date email <3
-
Oh no!!!
I called the automated phone system to check my status, and it said that they recieved my packet but found that information was missing or incomplete. It said that I would recieve something stating the details of what was missing.
How do you mean NVC????
I called today and they said the same thing to me it's about my joint sponsor....I have to do his form again -__- que merda tudo isto
-
I only sent copies of Civil Documents (with the Originals of course).
oh ok good so i dont have to make copies of the ds-230 and i-864? except for my own records
-
hey i just have a quick question.. with the IV package & the AOS package do i have to included copies of the forms? like send 2 of each of everything?
-
Here is the message i got when my case was not entered yet to the system: "Sign In Failed•Please be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time. Please click on the Contact the NVC hyperlink if you believe that you have received this message in"
I got that one too before they generated my fees

What type of waiver is this? Where do you get it &/or submit it? Thanks
From my understanding (From what I've read) the waiver is form I-601 you can download it online it has a $565 fee and you are told at the interview whether you are eligible or not from there they review it, with the I-601 you have to show evidence of extreme hardship on the US spouse if the applicant isn't able to go to the US. from there they either aprove it or deny it after it been reviewed.

Yes it does. Wow, I missed that
. It was my lucky day, I guess. gad33 is right in case anyone new reads this, it does say to send additional documentation with the I-130.
I didn't send any "proof" either other than out marriage certificate =\ guess we got lucky cause so far I got no RFE's and I cross my fingers it stay that way
-
yay! invoice generated

The payment portal has been updated. It now shows "paid" yeeeeey
Same here
we are getting everything on the same dates lol

Please to read all content from all links in post #1. Each time you ask question that was covered in post #1 ? Well, you've wasted bandwith - but then you owe me a decalitre of beer and Saylin 2 kg o poutine.
Sorry doing this and homework at the same time is kinda tough
but I've sent it already and read all the links on the first page
Thanks
and sure want beer gimme your address and I'll mail you a pack what brand do you prefer? Lol
-
No, you have to send the DS-3032 (preferably by email if you want to save lots of time).
AOS track:
-pay AOS fee
-send AOS package when bill shows as PAID
IV track:
-send DS-3032 (by email if you want to save time)
-pay IV fee
-send IV package
Both are SEPARATE tracks. You can do either the AOS track at the same time as the IV or one over the other. It's all up to YOU.
Ok awesome so I can just scan it on to the computer and email it to NVC? Sorry for bombarding you with questions
-
The AOS and IV are SEPARATE tracks. The AOS bill gets invoiced regardless. But the IV bill will NOT be invoiced until DS-3032 acceptance. So the time it takes from AOS and IV are all up to YOU.
So I have to send the first packet and have them recieve it before I get to pay the second fee?
-
How much time will it take from paying the AOS fee to having the IV fee available to pay?
-
Yup, that's perfectly fine. As long as you correspond with NVC within a year, then NVC doesn't care when you send packages. Many people have to wait a few weeks before sending packages because the beneficiary has to mail things.
Ok cool
-
Once i pay the fees can I wait to send the packages cause I have to wait for some of my husbands documents to come from Brasil ?
-
-
Why isnt the payment portal letting me sign in? I did it yesterday and all day today an error message pops up saying sign in failed -__-
