Whatever you do, DO NOT get married in Ghana.
It is a long and excruciating process that takes its toll. Go the fiance route.
One more question do they give you a hard time about age? There is a 16 year difference in our age. I am older than him.
You can never have too much paperwork for this! They may not even look at it, but it's better to be safe. In Ghana they seem to mostly focus on phone logs and tax transcripts, judging from my own experience and what some others have written.

Hello I am new to the site. I had a few questions. How long do you have to be in a relationship before you can file for a fiance visa? As for the chat logs do they really need to have copies of all of the chats? That would be so much paperwork. Also, if i visit him in Ghana, and we have a religious cereamony, will we still be able to file for a fiance visa?
