  1. OK Had the infopass appointment today in Atlanta nice 10 hour round trip and they have said that no office is permitted to give out any copies off of there sytems no matter what its for!!. But she did say that theres no reason we cant send the copy of the email and NOA1 another copy of the visa as proof instead so were going to try that along with a note saying it was recomended as the NOA2 was never recieved.

Fingers crossed and i'l update on how it goes.

  2. Well had the medical now for a nice 245 for everything including jabs and now onto the AOS paperwork and guess who never recieved a NOA2!!!!!

Got an email but never anything through the post just like all the other forms i never recieved due to them not updating my address. Never even knew we would need it until now so i guess im yet another $405 out of pocket due to somebody elses mistakes.

405$ for a piece of paper is dam righ disgusting! when all they have to do is enter a case number into there computer for all the information and they wonder why they get so many ileagals...... hmmm i have a good idea lol

Anybody know other ways of not sending the noa2?????

  3. oops sorry for posting in wrong area my bad!.

Yeah! Not working sucks big time i hate not doing anything, be a year on May 5th since i left my last job 'm just glad ive got a house to fix up while i wait.

Found a doctor in Decatur was only 140 for full medical plus any jabs I needed. going back monday to get TB results and paperwork. Need to find out what the deal is if the visa runs out while waiting for the AOS to go through. Only got 6 weeks left on it now.

will update if i get any issues with that too.

  4. OK Heres the deal that I found out today when visiting a Doctor in Alabama USA to get my paperwork filled for the AOS.

Entered USA october 2011 on K1 visa.

    Married December 2011 as required ( 3 months )

Visited doctors to get jab record completed as required for form I-693

So far everything done as needed! So when I get to the doctors im informed that as we are not given full copies of our entire medical for the K1 visa no doctor will sign the paperwork unless they give us another full medical! SHOCKED!!!! I was.

So now ive had to pay out for another full medical as I was told is the same for every person entering the USA.

What you need to have with you if you are moving to the USA:

Full copy of your medical records with chest xray

Full jab records including recent Flu jab and check for TB. If you do not have this information you will need to pay out for a complete medical including any outstanding jabs needed like the dtap booster Flu jab and TB test. Also if you need a TB test done you will be required to go back to the doctors in 3 days time and then you wil see the doctor.

Medical cost will start at a basic $140.00 + any jabs and test needed

( I didnt have records for my second dtap or flu shot so needed them again. dtap + flu +TB+blood work + medical cost me $245.00)

Hope this isnt an issue for everybody as I know its expensive enough as it is.

  5. Ok phoned today and been told that it was the medical paperwork that was proccessing but the paperwork that I sent tracked and signed for that was signed for on the 8th of July hasnt been logged as recieved #######?. Emailed now to find out what there gonna do about it and getting all the paperwork ready once again just incase. Also im thinking im gonna deliver them by hand as they seem to have a habit of loosing paperwrok. Yet another month lost due to somebody elses mistakes

  6. GRRRRRRRRR!

Ok looking at this I'm phoning in the morning as I have a feeling ive been lied to about the waiting time to recieve an interview date.

I was told 2 weeks ago when I phoned that there is a 7 WEEK WAITING PERIOD and I should hear about my K1 interview then. After reading your posts it sounds like I was lied to by them and this really is making us both upset. I know they have all the paperwork and medical papers so why the delay when people putting theres in after are already issued with interview dates!. Something is so not right with there proccessing procedures. I'l update this once ive phoned.

  7. Hi all,

I'm in the same boat about the interview, all paperwork sent in and recieved on the 8th of July then medical on the 21st. Phoned last week and they checked and said my paperwork was being proccessed. They also said it takes up to 7 weeks from when the paperwork is recieved to be issued an interview date, 4 weeks for the paperwork 3 weeks to arrange the interview date . 7 weeks is today and still nothing so I'l be phoning back and emailing next week. I'l let you know what they say.

  8. HI,

Had my medical in london 3 weeks ago. Its straight forward enough,

Copy of police certificate ( you will get this back )

1 Passport photo ( if going to the US get a set of 4 2inch by 2inch will work out cheaper)

Valid Passport ( you may or may not be asked for another form of identification so take it anyway )

Filled in medical questionaire from the web link ( There is another to fill in when there while waiting too ).

    jabs records if any

    Medical steps.

Dont arrive too early you will only have to wait :)

1 see the nurse ( review jabs had and needed - the chikenpox one isnt needed if youve already had chikenpox )

you can get the jabs there if needed.

2 then from the nurse into the x-ray room for a chest x-ray, then back to the waiting room.

3 in to see the doc who checks your forms then does weight hight and eye test. then onto the bed for body exam and blood test (ouch)if its the polish doc lol.

Then they take your money give you your paperwork and you go home.

They will contact you if anything is found medical wise within a couple of days. If not then all the paperwork is sent to the embassy in about 5 working days. If going to the US its a 7 week wait from when they recieve your 2001 readyness form before any interviews are arranged.

Hope thats clear enough for you

    Darren :)

  9. I contacted the London Embassy today 11th of August regarding the waiting time from medical to interview. (Its in my forum post).

At the moment the average waiting time is:

4 weeks to process the paperwork once recieved including the ready for interview form

3 weeks to issue the interview date.

So average of 7 weeks from when they get your paperwork as long as you have your medical within those first 4 weeks and nothing is wrong.

hope it helps I know waiting can be very depressing been almost 10 months for me so far.

  10. 3 weeks since medical and no anything yet!

NVC approved -K1 visa for myself to move to the US

So today I phoned the London Embassy helpline to find out whether or not I should be contacting via email to find out why theres a big delay in any information about my interview date.

Now everything ive looked at so far says once the medical papers are recived it takes about 7 days to send out the interview date! Well this may have been true last year but now it all been changed. Heres what I was told today by the London US Embassy.

From the date the paperwork is recieved and if there are no problems it now takes 4 weeks to process the paperwork and a following 3 weeks to send out the interview date.

So thats 7 weeks now from when they recieve all your paperwork including the 2001 form stating you are ready. (of course you need to have a medical as soon as possible)

Hope this helps for those who have just had there medical and are not sure how long the wait will be

    Darren
