Guys did anyone who has been interviewed already ever check their status and see it says you case is ready for an interview. I was interview last week was told to send in a document. passport was taken and now waiting for visa an status is saying ready

your case was completed almost 3 years ago so:

1- were you asked for a new I-864 as the pervious one was more than 12 months old?

2- what other documents did you submit

3 did you submit DS260 as well as DS 230 you had on file from almost three years ago?

No i was not asked for a new 1-864 but i submitted an up to date tax paper new police record no ds230 form

Hey guys sorry I took so long to post my interview experience. Well everything went thru but my father need to send some pension/social security payout document which the consular told me after taking my passport and giving me a piece of green slip. He said he was to email and if he did so the same day the visa would be available. Well he did so the same so i am just waiting for them to acknowledge receipt of it and issued the visa. I was ask a lot of questions the main focus was why my dad's name was added when i was 18 years old.

He at one point ask me what do i have to prove he is my father and i started going in my file folder and the counsular and he told me to give him what i have or else he is going to send me to do a DNA so i basically gave some pics, some money transfer receipts, christmas cards.

Yes I have my SSN. I just wanted to go to Canada this month but I have to use my Green card to get back in the states. Even though they said my passport is good enough, I'm not willing to take that chance.

that is valid. My mom wanted to do the same and called some office and was told the # in her passport is her green card number and she can use it and she did so.

I had my medical yesterday. It was long, forever and everlasting. But I didn't need to pay for any extra vaccinations! I had looked up the ones I would have needed and gotten them all free at a clinic when I was in the states. The hardest part of the medical was really just the wait. I got it in 8:30 and left at 3pm. Could have flown to NYC and back! I also got to register for my updated police certificate later in the afternoon.

Now, I'm just gonna explore my beautiful country and wait for my medical to be ready in 10 days, and then my interview.

@AVG like Hura stated..... age16 Police Cert. is required.

Re DNA testing,for me this was not applicable,however,I think usually when the Petitioner is the dad they are requesting the that this be done.

Iam wondering if they allow dna to be done before interview

Do I have to fill out a new ds260 form. I had filled out ds230 two years ago when they were using that form.

Who needs to submit a police certificate?

Each visa applicant aged 16 years or older must submit police certificates.

Yes i know but seeing that she just turn 16 not even a week ago

Simit I had to do a DNA.. Did they propose that u do DNA testing? I don't know why they didn't believe you.. I had a problem too because my dad had the wrong name on his birthcertificate than what was on mine and they wanted a host of things... Citizenship certificate, drivers license, passport etc and DNA...

Just a quick update guys............Almost set!!....Police certificate...and...No-impediment certificate >> (Applied for)......Pictures taken.......Medical scheduled..........My joint sponsor is getting his latest US tax return (form 1040) ready.....Affidavit of Support (form I-864).......A photocopy of the biographic page of his passport..........A photocopy of his certificate of naturalization and his most recent W2 wage statement.......Also my petitioner is sending her original birth certificate which I will make copy in case it will be requested at the interview

Do I have to bring pictures with me and my petitioner to interview? I have pictures of both of us which was taken this year on her visit here.

Hi congrats how do you know if a sponsor is above the poverty mark

When I called I explained that I couldn't find my vac card, and I asked them to include it in the medical. The receptionist explained that I should take a max of 30000jad= 300+usd. She also explained that the cost could go up and that I should call back a day before going in to do medical.

when you do your medical let me know how much it cost

At the registrar general department in your parish.Take with you your birth cetrtificate, your ID and prepare to pay $5600 for 7days or $6000 something for 3 days express. Also if you do not have your birth paper with you, they charge a $100 to search for it.

can it be done online

Well I applied for mine today. I am not taking any chances. It was painful spending all that money to get it but I would rather lose the money than cause a delay on my interview process, incase they ask for it and I dont have one.
