For those of you beginning this journey, please understand that it will eat up years of your lives, lots of your money and plenty peace of mind. Yesterday we mailed off one more packet. This time the application for the permanent, permanent Green Card (which, btw, is NOT permanent...it's 10 years!) Ah, don't you love oxymorons???

We just got the green card in the mail!!! When I saw the decision had been made on the website, I didn't believe it but now the card is in our hands!!!!

1 year anniversary of my husband's arrival to the US. It's been a wonderful year and worth all the paperwork and waiting!!!

We got the visa today!!! Thank God and all those who helped us! Searching a ticket for him to be here within the next 3 weeks!!!!

Administrative Processing 221g

I am a Louisiana Girl! I just saw your post, thanks and sorry for the slow response. The interview went well. They gave us the visa and then took it back again. We are in 221g, Administrative Review. Nothing to do but wait!

We got the email from the embassy in Tunis. They sent all the information to complete and return. Did it all and will fax it to Tunisia tomorrow. Fingers crossed!

Have a case number. Waiting to hear from Tunisian Embassy! I've called and written to the embassy but had no response. Just believing we'll be together soon.

Got our first response from the packet. It is the receipt and a tracking number! WooHoo, Only 11 more months to go!

First notification received...They have routed our application to Vermont. Any reason why?

Thanks so much. I don't really understand exactly how to use this forum, but thought it would be a good way to keep track of the time. My emotions are certainly all over the place after yesterday and sending of "my baby"! My whole life just went off in that package!
