Does any one know's how much time Mumbai Consulate take's for sending my visa after submission of new medical and passport.

It took them 2 weeks to issue the visa after submission of updated medical for me. The wait time is usually 2-3 weeks but i think most of the people get in 2 weeks.

I did not get any text message or call from VFS or consulate. The courier guy came all of a sudden and gave me a huge surprise. I am in the USA with my wife already

Alhumdulilah, I got my visa yesterday.

Yes last week when i called them the lady said my documents were received at the mumbai consulate and is under final review and a decision is to be made.

Since all the chennai immigration has shifed to mumbai us consulate. I think the work burden might have increased which is why they are processing the cases a bit slow i presume. They just have to issue me the visa, god knows when they're gonna issue. I hope soon!

Yes, they repeat the same medical exam all over again.

Yes i had my medical at vijaya diagnostics, himayathnagar. You will get an appointmnt in the same week. Almost 3600 Rs again.

The validity of a visa is 6 months.

Don't worry inshallah we will get our visa soon. Even after sending updated medical i wonder what is taking them so long to review. This whole process requires alot of patience.

Im a bit scared as my pcc is gona expire on 25 april 2012. since its valid for one year.

I have sent my updated medical to mumbai consulate. Its been 2 weeks for me. Hopefully will get by coming week.

@Eabbas: as far as i know you dont need to submit ds230. Just an updated medical report and pcc.

Since chennai is no more doing immigration process all the cases have been transferred to mumbai consulate. I think you are not in AP anymore. By the way where are you from shabs ali?

But in my case they know my pcc is gonna expire by april 25 thats why they have asked for updated medical.

My case was under Ap for 8months and then i got my passport along with blueslip for getting updated medical report. I have submitted the medical report via VFS on thursday 29 march 2012. Medical is valid only for 6 months..once AP is over you will receive your passport for getting updated medical report. I am pretty sure about it.

And then you will have to submit it to the mumbai us consulate since chennai is no more doing immigration process.

Nobody can give an estimate for AP. Each case is unique. He just said you 4-6 weeks just like the consular said to me;(

I was interviewed in chennai for cr1 visa and was in AP for 8months. Just a week back my passport was returned with blue slip for updated medical report, Alhumdulilah I sent the report now waiting:)
