  1. Hi,

I got my Bio taken one week ago exactly. I checked my Case on Line just now and in fact nothing was mentioned about my Bio's.

The only difference was the date : October 11th had changed ... so I guess I was touched (following day after bio were taken).........

In case this help ! This is my story so far !

I had file at Texas Service Center On August 9th but got transferred to CSC.

NOA letter received a few days later with extension for one Year

and Bio taken on October 10th.

    Now waiting...........

Pic looks to come straight from AMW

Congratulations ...... so after all it finally went fast !

10y and no messing with Immigration ...........

    Enjoy !

Will let you know when I hear from CSC...

Bio were done only a week ago.

Best wishes and enjoy the family visit.

  3. awesome,

Let's hope the CSC says this as well ;)

I hope so for you Sylvain ! This time everything will be OK !

I got my NOA1 one month ago now and still No Biometric appointment. I am going to France on Saturday so it will have to wait now ............my husband will look at the mail and let me know !

I was watching the mail .....

Good luck and I will read VJ as soon as I get back !

Thanks for you help and your posting on the RFE at least we are ready ........ in case we get one ! Everything is possible with Uscis :hehe: ..................

  4. If they are looking for evidence of a bonified marriage send as much stuff as you can including letters from friends and associates as to their perception of your marriage. Good luck

A bonified (sic) marriage? That's a scary thought.

Sorry about your RFE and hope with the new evidence you will have a "smooth" journey. I understand your frustration ! It feels wierd to have to prove a "Bona-Fide" marriage when in fact you live happily married .......... and in good faith !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My husband bought the house before I even came here (so the mortage is in his name) we have no utilities bills either together - .............. they are all in his name ! ........................

I did not think that was going to be a problem (but realize now it might be). We had lots of other evidence, but evidently (see other RFE'S ............... LATELY) you just never know !

If they want to have another interview I am all for it .................... rather than sending RFE's when we do not even know what else they want ? Is this a new way to slow the process ? I thought they had enough paperwork as is it !!!!!!!!!!!!

Is it mandatory in a marriage to a joint bank Account (no ! of course not) ...................

You are allowed I would think (even more so if you are a little older and this is your second marriage) to keep some of your assets separate I would think !

Anyway good luck ! ............. with the rest of it

  5. I see you went to Houston for your biometrics this time ? Didn't you do to San Antonio first time for AOS ?

That's right. I don't know why they asked me to go to Houston this time... It didn't matter as it's roughly the same distance from where we live.

A buddy of Kathleen's son and a brother-in-law will provide letters of support to include in the stuff for the RFE

Thank you ...(for the biometrics) my memory was right then !

Could be my case as well I live 2hours from Houston and 1h30 from San Antonio ?

I did not get my biometric letter yet ... got my NOA1 3 weeks ago already ... just as well I am flying home to visit saturday for 2 weeks ! I would hate to re-schedule .................

Did you read today more people got RFE so it is the new trend ? I hope you will be OK with the affidavits and whatever you could get .............. on top of whatever you already sent them.

May be after this you will get a speedy 10 years GC !

    Good luck,

  6. We manage our utility bills (electricity/cable) online but I got screenie prints of our statements showing the service address, that'll do I hope

Best of luck this time ........ I do not see what else you can provide them with .............

I see you went to Houston for your biometrics this time ? Didn't you do to San Antonio first time for AOS ?

I hope you can mail your RFE back to them quickly and keep going.

Were you able to get Letters from friends ?

You had so much evidence already I do not understand why they get so picky ? :crying:

Hope to read good news from you soon.

  7. The February 16, 2005 new RFE Memo directs an adjudicator to issue an RFE, rather than a NOID, if a necessary piece or pieces of evidence are missing. According to the Memo, "the highest quality RFE is one that limits the request to the missing evidence. Generally, it is unacceptable to issue a RFE for a broad range of evidence when, after review of the record so far, only a small number of types of evidence is still required." The new RFE Memo recognizes that RFEs requesting a full gamut of information when only a small amount is needed to make a final decision "overburdens the USCIS' customers, over-documents the file, and wastes examination resources through the review of unnecessary, duplicative, or irrelevant documents." This directive is obviously a welcome one and, hopefully, something that will make its way into actual practice.

So it's obvious that most RFE's are low quality ones

Wowwwwwww... sorry to read you got an RFE. I remember you since you helped me with AOS, we had the same Service Center I went to San Antonio for Info pass and biometrics 2 years ago !

and I was right behind you with filing etc ............

I thought you were doing good ........ what is it they need now ??????????????

I can expect one too since the mortgate is in my Husband name only, was that way before I even met him and we never changed it and the utilities bills are also in his name !

We put a lot of other evidence but it looks like they are looking for whatever you do not send them !

We did put 2 affidavits one from our direct neigbhor and one from friend at his work, but from reading VJ I thought these affidavits were not the best evidence to give them ..........

Well I hope you settle the matter quickly and keep going.......... you did very well so far ! Keep us posted !

and sorry an RFE is a nag........

    Bon weekend

  8. eau_xplain:

Thank you for starting this thread, that link was very informative!

We will be mailing our file tomorrow or saturday, we sure hope to be tranferred to CSC, but don't know if that's still happening. We'll see, I guess...right now we just can't wait to mail it and get done with it!

    Let's keep each other updated!

    Best wishes (F)

Thank you for giving us the link ... on the news from USCIS and the different timeline of what is processed and when.

They speak for I-751 NOA of a Notice Date and a Receipt Date...

Where is the Receipt Date I can only see a Notice Date ????????

    Thank you

    Chanchan

  9. Has anyone filed the I-751 at MESQUITE TX 75185 ? (I live in NorthCarolina)

From USPS the package was delivered on 08/14/07, but until now the check (I sent one for 545$) was not cashed and I did not receive any NOA from USCIS.

I am starting to be a little bit worried...

    Thanks,

    Guapito

Sorry I just read your package arrived at Mesquite on August 14th I missed that first time ...

so in fact just one week after mine...(I mailed to Mesquite as well) So wait another week at least before they cash your check it took them over 2 weeks for me .......

I have no NOA either and do not expect one too soon either ! If I put my expectation too high I will again be worried/dissapointed..

    Good luck keep us posted

    Thanks,

When did you mail package to TSC ? And when did they receive it ?

    I posted yesterday

Mailed application on August 7th received by TSC on August 9th (2nd attempt)

checked cashed yesterday August 28th. File transferred to CA. (you can see it on the back of the check once it is cashed they put a stamp.

    Hope this helps.

Good luck, they do have A LOT of application right now due to the change of fee.

  11. I know there's a thread for July filers and so far all those who have posted there have indicated their applications were forwarded to CSC.

So, I'm wondering if any August filers have received any NOAs yet and if there is any indication that their files were transferred also.

I have not received an NOA YET but my file has been transferred to CA.

I can see it on the back of the check (from internet) on their stamp it is barely readable but we saw it.

I posted a few minutes ago my timeline... Package sent to TSC on August 7th Received on August 9th Express Mail - 2nd attempt - Check cashed today August 28th - so roughly 2 weeks (by the time file is transferred from TSC to CA count another couple of days)

I will post again when I receive an NOA.

    Hope this helps.

  12. Hi Everybody,

I sent my Application package and I-751 Express mail to TSC August 7th they received on August 9th (second attempt delivery).I was expecting to get it back since I did not use the latest version of I-751 ......... and guess what ?

Today our check was cashed and .... on the back of the check looks like I can barely read CA ... which means they probably transferred my file to California.

I hope the fact that they cashed my check means that they are now processing ? and will not send us the package back to re-do I751 with newest version ?????

Well I was happy ! but let's wait and see for NOA to get here before I get too happy.

    I will keep you posted.

Looks like THEY DO transfer all of TSC application to CA at least the ones from August....

and it takes roughly 2 weeks for them to cash the check.

Though this timeline might interest August TSC Filers !

  13. I'm going to my home country to see my family.I'll have to use AP. I'd like to know if anyone has had any problems traveling on advance parole.Share your experience , please.

I travelled twice to my home country (France)using my AP.

I had no problems whatsoever, the second time took a little longer (was thru Dallas) they had to take my paper work to another office - So I lost 10/15 minutes....... but they stamped it (I think) and I was ready to go...............

Good luck and have a nice trip !

    Chanchan

  14. Well, hopefully they will miss that it was done on the wrong version of the form <you never know!>

If not, just be prepared for when it comes back to you so you can send out the new one the same day.

Good luck to you and I'm sure everything will work out well for you and your family!

Thanks, let's hope they are looking at if we sent the right fees or not and not the right revised form ?????

    Cute Baby !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  15. My pakage was recived by TSC on July 17 check cashed on July 31 and since then nothing. I called help desk a couple days ago, girl told me it takes up to 90 days to get a letter. She told me to take copy of my cancelled check to local office and stemp my passport and prepare for a long ride. My check was cashed in California so I guess since they have this system outage they are really behind processing stuff and printing out letters. So I wouldn't worry. It does take them a while. As I understand as long as you have prove that you filed you can get stamp proving your residensy.

Thank you all for your answers.

I am not worried about the fact they did not cash my check yet or I did not receive an NOA yet, I am concerned because I know for sure now we sent the wrong I751 (revised in 2005 ?) I even don't know where my husband found such an old version ............................. SO I KNOW they will reject my package and they havent not YET .................... so I will have lost may be a month or more in the process ..... I am really anxious to get the application back so I can start all over ! ............ with latest revised I751 ........

But I think they are so late in checking the application it could take 3 weeks before they return the whole thing to me and then I HAVE TO START all over again. My GC expires on November 4th. I am travelling on September 15th to France (so I will be Ok for this trip) but again on December 18th to meet my daughters for Xmas who still live in Paris ......... but I could always go down to San Antonio and get a stamp in my passport worse case ? .................................. 90 minutes drive ... and a long wait overthere I did an info pass once you have to be PATIENT !

    Oh well

Thanks anyway, we are all in the same boat Waiting ........ and with the fee increase (which we couldnot beat) I guess they have a big overload of paper work !

Nice weekend everybody, It is HOT IN TEXAS ! I appreciate your replies !

    Chanchan

  16. Well it has been over 2 weeks we sent our package to TSC - and as I posted last week already, we realized once in the mail that we did not use any of the last 2 revised version ....of I-751

So Iwas expecting to get my package back .... and over 2 weeks have past and have not seen anything returned to me YET ................... no my check has been cashed. I guess they are really late in looking at the mail right now ?! I an anxious to get it back and send it again with the latest version of I-751. What a waste of time - Right now I have lost almost 3 weeks already ...................................

I guess I have to be patient and just wait ???

Anybody who sent their package same week as me (august 7th) have had they check cash ? Or something ??????????????????????

or are we all in the same boat .....

I read that a lot of the files sent to TSC are transferred to CSC (this happens when I filed for my AOS, )

I was hoping that would be the case since they process much faster, but we have not heard ANYTHING from either centers !

Thank you for your replies

    Chanchan

  17. She will need to get a new passport and once she has that then you can ask USCIS at your local office for a Temp I-551 stamp or letter of extension....

    Hope her father improves..

    Kez

INFO PASS should help. I had once an Emergency and did not have a Parole to travel, they right away issued a Parole to travel back to the country. I had a letter from the Dr that my mother needed my visit urgently. I did have a passport still valide though. But I think they can issue either a NOA or a parole to come back. Good luck and sorry about your situation. Chanchan

  18. Hi, again!

When I checked the USPS website this morning it said that the item was delivered to INS EXPRESS MAIL at 6.34am and was signed for. It seems like the third time is the charm

Chanchan, I guess they do go to work REALLY early!!

Yeahhhhh I am happy for you ! I know how frustrating not to see the package is delivered and in your case it took the 3rd attempt !

Now be patient I still have not heard anything from TSC ... and mine was delivered now 12 days ago ... no check cashed yet !

Good luck on your journey !

    Chanchan

  19. Thanks, Desert fox and Chanchan! I am getting worried because they did try to deliver it a second time and it failed again. So it says they won't try again but wait 5 days and return it to me. Hopefully, they will try a third time on Monday ?!? Thanks again!

Sorry I did not realised it failed a second time ? I cannot imagine they will not try again on Monday again and keep the mail 5 days, and return it ? USCIS is used to this anyway. You were not the only one to be in that case yesterday. I do not know how they handle it...........but it must routine for them.

You have a tracking number you can always try to call the Post Office where the package is held if nothing happens Monday during the day.

I am sorry - I understand how you feel - I felt the same way until the package was delivered. Got so relieved when I got their email. (they deliver at funny hours trust me - first notice was like 1 pm and second 5 am ?).

My package was received 10 days ago now and my check is not cashed ... so be patient, even once delivered, I think they have a big big backlog right now.

    Keep us posted Monday

    Chanchan

  20. No, do not worry. I had the same problem.

First time delivery failed (it almost does every time with Express mail), they leave a notice.

2nd attempt it will be delivered I am sure........

Mine was during the week and it was delivered on the 2nd attempt around 5 in the morning ????

You should register with UPS on line to get an email when delivery is made and also have a copy of the receipt signed. I did it and when I woke up the following day, the email mentioned

    "delivered".

I am sure you will have your package delivered Monday ............... I think I remember they are not deliveries on Sunday anyway. Lools like the mailroom of the Centers are open pretty late and early in the morning .....................

    Have a nice weekend !

    Chanchan

(I did worry too) and posted a message about 10 days ago and got a lot of replies telling me the same thing happened to them ..................

  21. I only see your email now in August so I think by now you have solved your problem ... Otherwise send me a note, I learnt a lot about Taxes ... I am French and live in Texas now.

    The Centre des non-residents moved to Noisy le Grand Tel : 01 57 33 83 00

but the first year of your move you are correct you should still send your Declaration to your French Income Tax same as always who will transfer you to Non residents and then you should have got or will soon get the Avis d'Impot sur les Revenus de 2006 ... I just did !

Do you still have earning in France ? otherwise it is a little more complex ...

If not once you pay to the non residents whatever you owe them you are done with them until you return Home
