Thanks so much!! Got very worried after reading the other thread. But I am guessing it depends on what is culturally acceptable in that country! I can see him getting all mad at the officer if they say that the age matters. HEHE

OK...so another thread in the K-1 visa forum got me kind of worried. I am the US citizen (female) and I am 7 1/2 years older than my fiance. We will be interviewing in London as he is from northern ireland. Do you think we have anything to worry about at the embassy in regards to our age?? It has never been an issue for us.

OK...you guys really are getting me worried now. I am the US citizen (female) and I am 7 1/2 years older than my fiance. He will have his appointment in London....should I be worried. He is very mature for his age.

Thanks all......that is what the other thread said, but was hoping it had changed. Since he holds an irish passport as well, it would be nice if they would make things a little easier on us through this process. Thanks again.

I have read older threads from last year that those who live in Northern Ireland must interview in London. Just wanted to check if anyone knows if this has changed?? Would be so much easier for my Fiance to just go to Dublin. But if we know from the start that it must be London, then we wont get stuck in the mess of getting things changed. If anyone has any experience of this, please let me know.

Congrats! Just a quick question, I am just starting this process. You said you sent out dated I-129F? What is considered outdated???

I have a question about the police clearance that will be needed during Packet 3. Was just looking to see how that process worked in Northern Ireland so I could pass the information on to my fiance. The only thing I can find is: "If you wish to make a request for 'personal data' under the Data Protection Act 1998 you must do so in writing or by completing the form DAT1." However they clearly state on the instructions: "This application will NOT provide you with a ‘Certificate of
Good Conduct’ or ‘Police Clearance Certificate’. No
organisation or agency in the UK is authorised to issue such a certificate." Anyone else go through this??

I am getting ready to send the I-129 in soon as well, and my fiance is from Ireland as well! Good luck in the waiting process!
