We've been apart over three years. We submitted the first I-601 waiver in February 2012 in Guatemala, it was transferred to Anaheim, CA, and denied in August 2012. We submitted the second I-601 waiver through the new lockbox system in November 2012 and it got approved March 27, 2013, so it's only taken about three weeks from waiver approval to visa issuance in Guatemala.

  3. Interview at the embassy scheduled for Thursday, April 11th!

Thats really awesome Good Luck (:

  4. Contact from the embassy today with notice of the waiver approval and instructions for setting up an appointment for final document submission. Hopefully Carlos will have visa in hand by the end of April! Can't quite believe we received news from the embassy so quickly! Carlos will definitely be home in time for our JUNE 7 2013 WEDDING!!! (o:

  5. APPROVED, APPROVED, APPROVED!!! It finally happened! I can't quite believe it! After over three years of separation and a denied waiver, we are finally approved!!!

  6. Over four months waiting for the waiver, but no word yet. Four other cases from the same lockbox receipt date were approved today. Maybe this is our week...?!

  7. Today marks three years since Carlos left for Guatemala. I hope it won't be much longer before he can return home.

  8. We've passed three months of waiting for the waiver to be adjudicated. Trying to stay optimistic that we will hear something soon...

  9. Back from a week and a half trip to Guatemala to see my fiancé. What a wonderful time, but it was so painful to leave. I hope we hear soon about the waiver.

  10. Receipt number active online today! The waiver was received on November 8th at the lockbox. I received a text message on the 14th telling me the waiver had been received, but with no date given. No word yet from NSC, but hopefully soon.

  11. Waiver refile mailed today!! Here's hoping for some speedy processing!

  12. Evidence submitted to the lawyer! Hoping to have a brief to review later this week, and then the final new waiver mailed off by next week.

  13. We will hopefully be able to refile our waiver by the end of October. Working on the end of the new evidence to have it all to the lawyer as soon as possible.

  14. Working with a lawyer. Currently gathering new evidence...

  15. What a terrible day. I received a denial letter in the mail today for the waiver. However, based upon the reason for the denial, it appears that either part of the waiver packet was lost or the adjudicator did a poor job as a majority of the information listed as missing I DID include. I even have a copy of the whole packet to prove it. Now I don't know what to do, but perhaps refile. What a horrible, horrible day.

  16. We've reached our 180-day processing time for the waiver today. But it's Sunday, so maybe I'll get something in the mail tomorrow...

  17. One year ago today I submitted the initial paperwork for the fiancé visa, and here we are, a year later, still waiting. It's been a long year. Actually a long couple of years with Carlos back in Guatemala. Looks like with the transfer (and a needless transfer, at that!) to the U.S., we'll have to add an additional two to four months to our wait. Not a great development.

  18. It's been over 15 business days with no response, so I can only assume the expedite request has been denied. Ugh.

  19. At some point our waiver was transferred from Guatemala to the International Adjudications Support branch in Anaheim, CA. I don't know about the wait now. However, I mailed an expedite request today, so we'll see how it goes.

  20. Four months down! Two more to go! I had a wonderful time in Guatemala with Carlos. Cannot WAIT to be with him again! Hopefully only a couple more months to wait now.

  21. Three months down; three more to go! And I fly to Guatemala tomorrow for 3.5 weeks with my fiancé. Can't wait! (o:

  22. Two months down! Four more to go!

  23. One month down! Five more to go!

  24. Waiver submitted! Now about six months to go. Here's lookin' at you, August 2012! (o:

  25. Interview at the embassy went well today! We're eligible for the I-601 waiver, which we get to submit on February 28th. Then another six months... But we're getting close!
