Hi everyone!..I had my interview yesterday it went really well the officer only asked two or three questions and was really friendly, he told us this story about this family he had interviewed that would always invite to different family events, after that 20 minute story he told us let me hurry up and get you guys out of here and i should get my green card in the mail within 10 days.
I wish you guys luck and that you all get good news soon!

So yesterday i had this feeling that i should run through my SSN receipt one more time just to verify that my address was correct and it was but my name wasn't....i didn't check my name till then...i just thought that they wouldn't mess that up seeing that i spelled it on the SSN form and that they got my passport and EAD card with the correct spelling of my name...So today i went over to the SSN office and had them put the correct spelling, when she was done she told me that i should get my SSN card within 2 weeks and the reason is that they can now see my name in the system
-
Congratulations!....its good to get some insight on your experience, my interview is also coming up soon
-
Well i finally received my EAD card in the mail on Tuesday and was also surprise to received a notice for my interview.I hope that you guys also get good news soon.

When you have the EAD card in hand, take it to the SS office local to you and apply for an SS#. It will take a couple weeks to receive it.

I applied yesterday and i was told that USCIS has to verify the documents first and its gonna take up to 4 weeks.

-
Can we see any approvals as October started. Do we have to wait for 2 weeks to see any approvals?

Anyone feel free to correct me if i'm wrong but my understanding is, for a spouse of a US Citizen, the priority date is just the date your case got into the system. For others, it's used to determine when a visa becomes available..
In your case Priority Date determine when a visa becomes available for you
A visa number that is!

I have a Priority date (september 22, 2011)
I am a LPR petitioner.
What does the Priority date mean or do for me?
I am currenty in process for citizenship but i still want to know what it means and how to use the priority date.

Does IMMEDIATE RELATIVES really have special immigration priority and do not have to wait in line for a visa number to become available for them to immigrate because there are an unlimited number of visas for their particular categories??
-
Before I can explain further, I have these questions:
Are you the petitioner or beneficiary?
If you are the petitioner, are you a US Citizen (USC) or Lawful Permanent Resident (LPR)?
If you are the petitioner, who are you filing a petition on behalf of?
hi Ryan H thanks so much for helping...
so yea i am the beneficiary and my wife is a U.S. Citizen
she's filing on my behalf!

Can anyone please tell me why i got this letter from uscis saying that i need to submit a properly completed and signed Form I-693.
So i send in Forms i-485 together with i-765 and i-864. When i got the Medical done
i got the sealed envelope together with the i-693 form. The i-130 is already approved and they already
send me a notification date for my finger printing.
I only got the medical done on 07/05/2011 and i submitted everything on 07/12/2011.
Should i get it done at another authorized civil surgeon?
And is it gonna cost as much as it did the first time?
