Hi guys, just received my approval letter in the mail today. Says greencard will be sent within 60 days. 

So annoyed I only got my stamp for 3 months, I already have to make another infopass appointment as it's nearly expired again. Fingers crossed we all hear something soon...

Any updates from anyone?

It's weird that they only gave you 3 months - usually they give 6 months or a year (how annoying that you may have to go back for another one... absolutely no respect for our time and inconvenience when these delays are their fault!) but that's just what they look like and anyone who's looking for proof of residency knows about them and what they look like. You'll have no problem at customs.

Thank you, you've eased my mind. Yeah, I questioned the lady about the 3 months and she just stared at me and said I could come back...sigh!

Go online at one minute past midnight, and you'll get one. That's what I did! And yes you definitely need an appointment, they won't let you in the building without your appointment letter. 

I went and had my Infopass appointment last week in Colorado. I got the "stamp" in my passport...but it wasn't really what I was expecting. A stamp with embossed seal, but only a 3 month extension written in red pen. I am SO nervous about flying out of the US at Christmas...

Oh and the lady looked on the screen and said that it will be another 3 months until my greencard could arrive, and that I have to go back for ANOTHER stamp in my passport if it hasn't before this one expires. Her words were "they haven't even looked at your case yet."

I'm hoping the same thing! But my plan is that I will make an appointment in November to get my passport stamped, which from my research seems like the only way. (And the mis-information line isn't being much help!)

Sharing my experience on INFOPASS. I was in LA field office. I arrived at 08:45 AM. Only one person in front of me. I checked in at a window, got the number and proceeded to the waiting area. I was called in to another window 10 minutes after. The officer was quite strict. After 1 minute talk he told me wait in the waiting area again. I was called out in 15 minutes again. They took only my GC, not the extension letter and stamped my passport for another year. Then I asked about the reasons why it takes CSC so long now to process I-751. October '16 filer here! Do you mind me asking if your 1-year extension was about to expire and that's why you went for infopass? I need to do the same as I want to travel for the holidays and mine expires 12/2.

Thanks for all the helpful info on here. I actually saw a pinned thread on this forum that has official gov documentation that the letter extends the green card by 1 year. Sadly that means mine expires on 12/2.

I also read around online that you can only go and get a stamp in your passport to extend further within one month of your extension letter expiring, does anyone know if this is true? I am trying to travel on 12/23 so am praying we are approved by then! 

Hi all! So I called the USCIS last week, they told me that they were currently processing cases from June 2016! (I see on here though that some September are being approved... so who knows!) But my question is - is the 1-year extension letter from the date on your greencard? 

I am trying to go home for the holidays and am wondering if it's worth me going to get a stamp now (within the next month) so I know I can definitely travel if my case hasn't been processed by December? Anyone got any insight?

Hi all, I need to travel in December internationally. As my letter would have expired by then, I wonder what I need to do? Do they send us another letter while we wait for our greencard?

Just checking in, I've tried to enjoy my summer and not worry about this but then looked at the date on the calendar and am beginning to get anxious! I haven't heard a peep since my biometrics back in December.

Can someone remind me where I go online to check my case? And also what number are you all calling to get updates?

Ok I just called the USCIS...helpful as always lol. Gave all my info, and I will receive a letter in the next 15-30 days...not the appointment letter, a letter about the appointment letter.

Jeez I forgot how painful these follow ups are!!!

Hi everyone has anyone got their biometric appointment? It's been a month now I haven't received anything yet and next week m traveling abroad. I will be gone for 3 weeks. M panicking now.

I called USCIS and they've put in a request as to why I haven't received biometrics apt notice yet. Now I wait some more...

Another October filer here! Anyone received their bio-metrics appointment yet? My NOA1 was 10/5 but I haven't received anything since the initial letter....

What do you count as your NOA1 date? I just sent my packet this week, and it arrived yesterday. Do I get a mailed letter and that has me NOA1 date on it?
