Hey everyone! Not sure what discussion to put this under but I've been looking for an answer everywhere on the internet and not getting much luck. So here goes:
We got out K1 Visa in February of this year and my fiance (now husband) came from Ireland and we got married in May before the 90 days ended. We have yet to file adjustment of status due to a bad personal family time and being extremely busy. We had a proper wedding two weeks ago with all of our family and friends and decided to do the adjustment after the wedding but we have both come to realize that things are not working out for us living in the US. We both met in Ireland and really miss it and have been talking about moving back. Now our problem is...how the hell do I go about doing this? We are in a funky gap between the k1 and adjustment of status. How do I go about leaving the US with my husband back to Ireland? What will happen if we go back and try to come back to visit the states with me? Also do I need to contact anyone to say that we are leaving? We didn't plan to move back but things just aren't working out here. If you have any advice, pleeeeeeeeeease help!

well managed to sort it out! We endlessly called, emailed and pestered London and Dublin consulates and finally we got word back that they sent the packet off, never mind the several week wait, please do not call the london embassy again. Hahaha I know its not the best to pester these people but hey it's on its way now.

I was looking for expedite criteria for USCIS the other day and you can request an expedite based on "USCIS error" meaning if they messed up.
But now that the case is beyond USCIS control, it's the NVC that messed up sending it to the wrong consulate.
I don't know if you can request an expedition with the NVC or consulate but if you ask me, you should be entitled to, you may want to look into that.
I've spoken to anybody and everybody about it and am in contact with someone at the London consulate trying to explain the situation. I've talked to the NVC but its out of their hands so I am just depending on the consulate to try to speed things up.
Wow, that's crazy. Did NVC give you a case number? Does it look like a Dublin one or London one? I really hope this won't happen to me now!
Stay strong Uhleez!
It started with LND so I'm assuming its London. Just to be safe, call the nvc when they receive your petition and double check the address in your fiance's home country!!! Will save you weeks of waiting!

This is insanity!!! Our petition was sent from the NVC to the wrong consulate (London) instead of Dublin. After many failed attempts of trying to find assistance from both consulates, I got a reply back from Dublin saying they requested the file to be transferred. I felt a bit better that the wheels were in motion but after two weeks of hearing nothing, my fiance contacts the consulate in London to find that the request was never made!!! He contacted the Dublin consulate only to find the staff to be very rude and basically say it's not our problem. After many phone calls and time wasting responses, we receive an email from the London consulate saying the request has been made and it will take up to 7 weeks just to transfer it to the consulate in Dublin! How is it possible that it takes 7 weeks to send one packet when it wasn't our mistake in the first place?!?! I am so sick of these people that work at these places because their attitude is "at the end of the day, I still get paid." They do not process the thought that this really messes up plans and impacts lives. I bet there are a few nice ones out there but to be honest I have only encountered rude and careless imbeciles. After being so happy to receive our NOA2 after 5 1/2 months and then fall into this mess and expect up to a 3-4 month wait for something that was not our mistake is beyond infuriating!
This is just one big rant and vent of my frustration but what the heck?!?!?!?! I am so sick of this ridiculous process! I have more grey hairs on my head from the past 6 months than I can count and I'm only 23!
Word of advice: Make sure the NVC knows where to send your file!!! Or else you end up like me at the bottom of the ladder in a big steaming pile of you know what.
Rant over, ugh!!

Hey everyone
The NVC has sent our petition to the London Consulate but my fiance has recently moved back to Ireland. I did not get in touch with the NVC in time to change this. It is now at the London Embassy so does anyone know how I am able to get them to send it to Dublin? also does this cause any delay in the process?

GOT MY NOA2! YAAAAAAY! Took long enough but the moment you get it, can't describe the feeling. Hope everyone else's comes along soon! <3

Not Working Out....Need Help
in Effects of Major Family Changes on Immigration Benefits

I know Ireland is a bit of a tough place at the moment but he is quickly able to get a job back there and also in London. It's really difficult for him to adjust out here and we both realized we were happier living over there. As for the social security funding, I had no idea about that but I don't think he will be very bothered by that. I just need to make sure if we leave, he won't get some sort of ban from entering the states since he is leaving in this middle area
