My husband's i-601 was approved yesterday!!!!!!!
-
He is from Mexico DF. Yes, he is there until his waiver appointment. I am going to visit him next week. Yay!
-
I don't think he will need a waiver because my husband also attempted before being sucessful and was not punished for that. As long as your husband says the truth, he should be fine. They keep records of unsuccessful attempts to enter.

We got a waiver because my husband was here ilegally but left for his interview.
-
hi, thanks for adding me! Hope you are doing well. What part of Mexico is your husband from?
-
you are going to Ciudad Juarez with your husband? I didn't go with him, but I did go to Mexico with him and I am going before the waiver appoitnment to take the hardship letter to him, but I am not going to Ciudad Juarez. My husband's dad went with him to Ciudad Juarez.

Good question. I showed my marriage certificate when I traveld to show why I had not changed my name on my passport for traveling purposes. If you have time though, I would suggest changing it on your passport. I now have it changed every where, including my passport.

It took us 3 months to get NOA2. Faster than usual. I know the feeling about waiting and waiting! I think right now, everyone is qualifying for electronic processing. While you wait, read about it, the requirements, and the next step. Feel free to ask me questions if you need guidance. I can write a thesis on this topic because I researched alot. We don't have a lawyer.

I have heard of some being banned for only like two months, a year, 3 years, 5 years, and 10 years. It all depends on the case. Each case is different. Yes, he will know after the waiver is reviewed about 2 months after the waiver appointment. I have a good feeling my husband will be home before Xmas!!! con la ayuda de Diosito y la Virgen Maria.

Your NOA2 will arrive about 5 months after you submitted your i-130. If you case starts with MEP...you will be required to submit everything electronically. It is faster and he will be here in no longer than 7 months. Yey! hehehe

That is how is used to be. To just pay a fine and stay here but the process changed and many are not aware of that. You will be ok and he will get his visa with no problem, but the cousin will have to go back to his country for the interview and gett he waiver. If he has a criminal record or tatoos that are gang related, he might be denied without a waiver.

The waiver is an application called i-610. You turn in the application along with the cost and evidance to prove hardship to the citizen or resident of USA if the applicant cannot comeback to US or the petitioner has to move to the family's country. I'm working on mine as we speak. I have a month to put everything together.

Hola Vanessa, no los aprobaron xq mi esposo dentro ilegalmente a USA. Entonces nos dieron el waiver. Le conteste su pregunta?
