Hi,

My self and my wife are Indian passport holders and are currently in US.

We applied for a canadian tourist visa at the Buffalo embassy more than 6 weeks back. We followed the procedure as detailed on the Buffalo embassy website and have sent the documents by USPS.

I am starting to get a little worried, as I have received no acknowledgment from the embassy. The embassy also does not respond to visa inquiries over phone and I have received no response by email.

Does it normally take so long ? What can I do to expedite it and get my passports back ? Please advise.

On the first two no; on the third unlikely (as Canada's customs/immigration officers--both at borders and airports--seldom collect I-94's).

The only real question (which C-W asked) is whether you have a valid visitor visa to Canada.

Hi,

I am currently working in US on a L1 Multiple entry visa. My wife is here on a L2 Multiple entry visa with EAD. We want to visit Canada and want to know if re-entering US will have consequences if any.

1. Does if affect my work authorization in any way upon re-entry to US ?

2. Does it affect my wife's work authorization ? Can she continue to work with her existing EAD or does she need to re-apply ?

3. Will we be issued new I-94 ? Will that affect us in any way ?

Any help on the above is appreciated.
