I nave a question regarding the I864 form. I already have completed one for my husband who has been in the US for close to 2 years now, we are just waiting for our interview now. However we have a family friend who is already here in the US and her husband is copleting paperwork for ner permanent residency card, but he needs a cosponsor fof the I864 and has asked me to be the cosponsor for them. Im not sure if this is allowed or not since I already have an I864 on file for my husband. Does anyone know if this is allowed/ok? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

Hey all! My husband had his interview yesterday and was approved!!! He is going to pick up his visa tomorrow and we will be making his travel arrangements then. I just want to make sure there are no additional papers he will need to bring with him when traveling to the US. I know the embassy will give him a packet with his visa, but does he need anything else other than typical things such as passport, birth certificate?

We are anxiously awaiting my husbands interview on November 27 at the embassy in Dakar. Does anyone know if he will be required to pay any fees at the time of the interview and if so how much they will be?

Finally got our case complete today.... come on interview date!!

I know this is probably a silly question, but I'm trying to do everything I can to keep busy while waiting for our interview date. Does all the documenation that was sent to USCIS get sent to the embassy for the interview? I sent several items for proof of relationship with my packet to USCIS but I'm wondering if I should send even more to my husband to have for the interview.

it was question 30, i didn't start from year i reached 16!

now do you guys know how long it takes them to review it when i send it again??

Don't feel bad, we made the exact same mistake with my husband's DS-230 part 1. Just mailed off the new form yesterday, NVC should receive it today. We are still hoping and wishing for an October interview date as well!! Not really sure if that is realistic or not at this point, but I keep wishing for it anyway.

Don't worry about it at all! You either include the checklist cover sheet or the IV one from the payment portal. You're A-OK!!!

Oh thank goodness!!! Thanks so much Saylin... I know a lot of us would be lost without your help! One other small thing, my husband mailed the package to the ATTN of CMR, as listed on the receipt, but the checklist said to send to ATTN of DR... are we still ok? Again thanks for all you help!!

Help please!!! My husband mailed his DS-230 package to NVC on Wednesday, should arrive today. However last night I received an email containing a checklist which said it must be included in the package with the DS-230... what do I do now????

I mailed the I-864 package on 8/14 and I'm curious if they will send me an email acceptance or do I have to call them to find out if the package has been approved?

Ok, just thought of another question. For the I-864 packet can this be scanned or emailed or does it have to be sent by hard copy?

Wooohoooo!!! Got my AOS bill from NVC and got it paid... Now time to double check my I-864 packet. Do they send you an I-864 form with barcode or can I use the one linked on this site? I already have one completed, just want to be sure I'm not jumping the gun.

Finally.... just got my messages from NVC and was able to pay my AOS bill....YIPPPPEEEEE!!!! Hopefully yours will be coming soon too!!

Since we have our NVC case number now & have mailed the DS-3032 should I have my husband go ahead and get his police certificate? He said it will only take him a couple of days to get in, we have just been waiting as we didn't want it to expire before we need it.

I totally am having the same addiction....first time I can remember ever being so eager to receive a bill... LOL!! Just checked mine for the second time today and looks like they are doing something cuz my name is not showing under the petitioner right now and the not invoiced disappeared...maybe tomorrow will be the day!!!

Well I have the NVC case number now, have given them my husbands email address and my husband sent in the DS-3032 yesterday...now we are just waiting again... man this is killing me today!!! Patience, patience, patience... I need so much more of it!!!

I'm curious if anyone has attempted giving the NVC just one email address that is shared between the petitioner and beneficiary? Has anyone tried this? Any advantages/disadvantages to having just one email?

Thanks! They received our case on July 23rd. The operator said they are just in the processing of entering our case now so she could not take any new information at this time, but she did already have my email address (the petitioner). So maybe if I call back on Monday I can give them my husband's email address and ask for the IIN number. The only thing she gave me today was the case number.

Finally received our case number today, operator told me it would take 4-6 weeks before I receive something in my inbox. Is this really true? That's a long time. Is there a website for NVC where I can check status now that I have a case number?

I know this may be a silly question, but I haven't been able to find a clear answer so I will ask anyway. Now that we have our NOA2 and our case is being sent to NVC. I'm curious how NVC will send it's correspondence. My NOA2 letter states that the NVC will contact my foreign spouse and I'm wondering how they will make contact with him. Your help is greatly appreciated!!
