  1. Here is the link to the RGB website:

    http://rgd.gov.jm/?q=certificate_production

According to the site you need the following to order BC online:

Full and correct name of child,

    Parish of birth,

    Child's Gender- male or female,

    Mother’s name,

    Child's Date of birth,

    Father’s name

Place of birth: name of hospital or address of home Birth entry number,

District of birth Place of registration

The fees are listed on the website but I will contact the RGD to confirm the fee for your particular situation and needs.

    Hope this helps.

  2. You can ask that person, but I am asking because I heard someone say that a lawyer found out about other petitions filed for their friend finance that the finance did not tell them about.

  3. Is there anyway to find out from USCIS or the Jamaican Embassy if the person you submitted or about to submit a petition for has had other petitions submitted on his/her behalf? If so, how?

  4. The crewman visa is a none immigrant visa to work on a crewship in the U.S. The one con for this visa is that you cannot adjust your status from this visa so if you if you are engaged or married to someone who has this visa you are not excluded from going through the finace/spousal visa process.

This visa is purely given to allow someone to work on a crewship in the U.S.

Below is the link to the travel state website with infor on the crewman visa:

  5. My finance has a five year C1/D crewman visa and entered the US on 11/9/11. After going through training with the cruiseline he boarded the ship on 11/13/11. We know that his contract will be up in May 2012 and he would like to come and visit me for a week before going back to his country. Is this allowed?

Any advice or information will greatly appreciated.

  6. I emailed the U.S. Embassy in Jamaica yesterday my question was how old can the police report, certificate of no-impediment and medical be to for submittal for a K1 visa as my fiance just completed these steps in late August/early September for another visa in the US and will be able to reschedule our interview if he is not in the country and this was the reply I received today:

    Good day:

Thank you for your email. The police certificate and medical results are valid for one (1) year from the date of issuance. The Certificate of Non-Impediment does not expire. If your fiancé cannot make the scheduled appointment, you can send us an email and we will be happy to reschedule him on a date convenient to him.

Just wanted to share information. I hope this helps.

  7. Just wanted to share some information I recently received from the RGD, Jamaica. I emailed them last night and asked if the certificate of no-impediment can be ordered online and shipped to an international address. This is the response I received today:

    Dear {Redacted},

This serves to advise that the No-Impediment cannot be done online. You can visit the nearest RGD’s Office and apply for same on your Fiancés behalf. The cost for the 7days service is J$5500. After same is completed and you received the document you can FedEx same to him overseas, or you can make the FedEx payment to the RGD to send same to him overseas when completed.

If there is any other matter you will like us to address please feel free to contact us at information@rgd.gov.jm

Do have a great day. “We aim to satisfy”

    Regards,

Just want to pass the information along.

  8. I think orginal question was out of sincere lack of knowledge of the visa process and not to bypass the process or potentially commit fraud. I think collectively it has been explained that she cannot enter in the US on a Vistor's visa knowing that the true intent is to eventually marry a US citizen. The proper process will be for you the US citzen to either file 1. File a petition to bring your non-US citizen fiance to the US to marry (this is a K-1 Visa), which must be done in 90 days of their arrival and follow through with procedures so she can become a lawful permenant resident 2. Marry in the country that you are in and then file petition to bring your spouse to the US (this is a CR-1 Visa or 3. Marry in the country that you are in and file the petition to bring your spouse to the US at the US embassy that is located in the country in which you are residing (this is a DCF).

This site is filled with viable information to help you understand what these visas are their pros and cons and process in which the US citizen must follow to bring their fiance or spouse to the US. I think its important to note that comments provided by others in this post is important information you should keep in mind about the dangers and possible appearance of knowingly committing fraud against the visa process.

    Good Luck

  9. My financee and I will wed shortly and he is in the process of obtaining his US crewman "C" visa to work for a US cruiseline. We know that he will be contracted with the ship for 8 months and had to provide an international police report and medical to begin work on the ship and obtain the US crewman visa. While he is on the ship working unnder his contract I will submit the IR-1/CR-1 paperwork. Since will have a crewman visa will they require him provide a new police report, medical and schedule and interview although he will already have a valid US visa?
