after they arrive in the us i know that you have to be married within three months of their arrival day but when is the latest you can file for the change of status?
my wife and I have a few questions
you have two years after you get married. do it before your second anniversary.
We got married in Sep. 2005, and we are having our interview next Monday.
Good luck!
Really? Can you explain the "two years" please?
two years means: from the day you get married ---- the day you file your AOS.
I came to TX on Sep. 4th 2005.
got married on Sep. 23rd 2005.
we had our interview today, april 16th 2007.
we are approved.

According to our lawyer, there is an expiration date for applying AOS--You should apply for your AOS
before your second anniversary, which means you have two years after you got married.
We got married last Sep. and we are sending our AOS this week.
We are in TX by the way, things might be different in LA? ?

Thank you very much, everybody. I will submit my AOS as soon as possible.
I came to the United States last Sep. and got married two weeks later.
I do not work and my husband and I are expecting a boy in May.
The baby is the one who makes me forget myself.

Do I have to adjust my status before my I-94 has expired?
I came here with a K-1 visa and got married seven months ago, but I haven't hand in my AOS yet.
