  1. OK, mid November which marked the 6th month after filing of AOS, I called USCIS for service request and received an email after almost 2 wks saying to wait 45-60 days for update.

Wrote to our Senator in January for help and he was told the same. After almost a month, I got an update from USCIS that my case was transferred back to another office who has now jurisdiction over my case and to wait for further info.

What, really?! Can't wait for this process to be over!

  2. Hi all, the maze starting from our I129F application has not really ended yet.

A week after I appeared for my biometrics, I received 2 identical letters requesting for a second biometrics, the reason being: The FBI was unable to process my fingerprint card.

This second notice I received was addressed to my maiden name in contrast to the first 3 letters (receipt, NOA1 and notice of transfer to CSC) which were all addressed to my married name.

And the lady who assisted me for my initial biometrics told me that the name in the card will be my maiden name. All forms I have submitted were all in my married name though. I have also attached our MC plus the document from the county showing that I will since use my husband's last name after the wedding. I prefer using it because my maiden name has always been something that I need to repeat or spelled when asked, uncommon that is.

Also this 2nd appointment did not list the application number MSCxxxxxxxxxx - just blank and the service center is now TSC. Again, comparing to my initial schedule it was complete with all application numbers plus the service center being MSC.

From MSC then TSC - it sounds really complicated now.

Another thing, I am reviewing all the letters received from them, including the envelopes that I never threw away. The first few letters came from National Benefits Center, MO and this recent one came from Texas Service Center.

Does anyone here have any case like I do? It is frustrating, remembering the long wait I had undergone in the NVC stage.

Please enlighten me if you had encountered this dilemma.

    Thanks so much!

  3. Hi, we are almost in the same timeline. My interview was a week ahead of your fiancee but I was placed under AP 2 wks after interview. Hitting 2 months mark on Monday and we've just gotten my fiance's Senator to help too. Hope this wait of ours end soon with approvals!

Weeding out the crabs? I'm not sure how it will be done. They can improve by coming up with a fixed timeline, but I guess that's how the immigration works.

  4. NCLEX and K1 visa are 2 different things. She doesnt need a toefl if her purpose is a k1 visa application. But if she plans on taking the nclex, please read on your state's BON requirements before they'll be able to approve her application to test. If it is not required then she doesn't have to take it, but I believe most states require an English test unless she is from English speaking countries like Aus, NZ, UK etc.

  5. I called DOS last night at sabi sa akin, they are completing the process daw...argggh. Anong percentage na kaya nacomplete nila tapos sabi sakin Goodluck! Pampalubag loob na din, but I mostly want to hear about my visa being approved. Papatawagin ko naman ang fiance ko sa embassy, yung lech na prescreened kasi sumasagot ng phone, irita ako sa kanya kaya ayoko tumawag Baka ilagay pa sa pinakailalim ang papers ko

  6. I had my interview at the Singapore consulate and as part of packet 3 requirements, Singapore clearance is a must. But before the agency sends the clearance to the embassy, they ask for a copy of the instructions to make sure it is valid. Please get your hubby to communicate with them, I'm sure the instructions are all written. It takes a couple of weeks before they submit the document. Good luck!

  7. Sassytay sis.. I won't go further than following up and I call DOS for updates while I get my fiance to call the embassy, they are friendlier to the US citizen than us, another sad truth. I was being interviewed at the Singapore consulate not Manila. Exactly why I was very furious when I got out of the building, bakit yung CO hindi hiningi or sinabi sa 221G tapos tong a$#!%&€!!! hayyy! Bwiset pa rin ako sa kanya kahit medyo tagal na. I wish masettle na tong mga issues natin, this wait is somehow unfair. In a month's time kaya naman nilang tapusin ang process if they'll just sit down on it. They have the database kahit nga mga histories natatrack nila davah! Wait na nga sa NOAs tapos eto pa.

  8. @southcalhog..yes I was very pissed when the pre screener insisted in getting the original or court certified divorce decree -- I did argue but not too far, sad to say but they always have the final decision.

Sassytay I'm getting my fiance to call them, there is only one guy who I get to speak too everytime I call and yes...he was the pre screener grrrr! I am so ready to hear some good news from the embassy. Getting saturated at work already because of this visa delay.
