  1. Yes I did experience that, I'm used to it and just leave while the person speaks or just tell "oh don't get me wrong, I don't like you either but that's not cause you are American just cause you are an asswipe!".

I also yawn and ask "Are you done Mr, Mrs Hatemonger? cause I kinda have to go"

Anything that shows that first I don't give a ####### and second that they are retarded. It works pretty good!

  2. I can't stand people's fluids, smells and filth. I pay attention to people's hands, hygiene practice and it's one of the reason why I sometimes don't like the people around me.

I never eat anything that was brought over from some of the people I know or never eat food that was tended to me with bare hands or things like that, of course I notice when people don't wash their hands after going to the bathroom or before they eat or people that touch their feet and then reach into a bag of chips or things like that, it disgusts me so much, blech!

  3. According to the BMI standards, you are considered overweight if your BMI is 30 or higher.

A 5'4" person is consdiered overweight at 175 lb

I lost weight since i moved to America mainly because I don't like what I get to eat outside and at parties. I cook a lot so it meets my personal standards but since I don't always have time to cook I just don't eat or snack on fruits or sandwiches. I found that Mexican groceries have imported juices/sodas that don't contain high fructose corn syrup but "azucares", real sugar.

Obesity is 30 or higher. Being overweight starts at 25.

oops... This is what I meant

  5. Breastfeeding is the most natural way to feed a baby and I don't see anything wrong with it but it would not harm anybody if it was done with maybe a little more discretion like turning around and act like it's a private moment or maybe not at the table at the restaurant but again ask to use a table in the corner or isolated somewhere. I don't even talk about your own private home, you just have to go in the baby's room or your bedroom, telling politely to your guests that you'll be back after you fed that little baby. I can understand with family members but not with guests, it's rude to impose your nudity even if it's natural.

It must be again one of these cultural differences I don't get, I've never seen a Parisian woman just stop in the middle of the store and pop it out or expose her breast in public for that purpose. I saw a few feeding their babies in the train and they first covered their breast and then were searching for the ####### not the other way around. My friend that breastfeed always just go in another room or ask my help in public to hold the blanket while she gets the nipple in place even tho there is no censure, tits and nipples are seen on commercials, ads, magazine covers, movies, on the beach. Showing a little discretion is just a way to show your consideration for people around you, I guess.

  7. Why the hell should a Brit or German get to the USA without a visa over a Brazilian who had nothing to do with Sept 11?

Maybe because of conventions, prior to sept 11 BTW, like The Hague Convention, 1961, maybe?

  8. You all need to better educated yourselves on some US history.

I don't think you know us well enough to judge our US history knowledge...

If one can't see and understand the reference to Rosa Park, then the description fits. And I never directed the remark towards you. You never made any mention of Rosa Parks, so my comment wasn't directed at you.

So what does "You ALL blablabla" means, by all you meant only Dr_LHA???? Why would you use yourselves to speak to or about one person maybe you should "educate" yourself with some English grammar or something or just admit your assumption is wrong.

    You're a rather ungrateful kat, aren't you?

I don't carry it with me.

I have a ID card + a driver license card in my wallet.

According to the people I was defending you against, they are telling you that you're a law breaker. You must carry your GC at all times.

You better change course and start carrying your GC.

I guess I was stupid enough to defend you. I won't make that mistake again.

I don't need anybody to defend me... What I do with my green card is my own problem, I don't care what you think and don't care what other people do...

Ungrateful... By not letting you assume some random generalization???

  10. Tomorrow is my birthday and Im so sad today already because I dont have anybody who will just drop by how it was at home. :( Oh well, my husband is my best freind though, but sometimes you need a female :)

I know about the Bday, it just went unnoticed. Usualy i go to eat with my friends, a pick nick or something :crying:

My friends from France live 9 hours in the future so it's pretty hard to speak to eachother on the phone

  11. I became a knitoholic, there is not one day when I didn't knit for the last 4 months!!!

My knitting replaced my social interaction with people. I don't really try to speak I just knit, people see I'm busy and we don't have to speak.

Maybe I should look around for some knitting club!!!

  12. Dual Nationality

The concept of dual nationality means that a person is a citizen of two countries at the same time. Each country has its own citizenship laws based on its own policy.Persons may have dual nationality by automatic operation of different laws rather than by choice. For example, a child born in a foreign country to U.S. citizen parents may be both a U.S. citizen and a citizen of the country of birth.

A U.S. citizen may acquire foreign citizenship by marriage, or a person naturalized as a U.S. citizen may not lose the citizenship of the country of birth.U.S. law does not mention dual nationality or require a person to choose one citizenship or another. Also, a person who is automatically granted another citizenship does not risk losing U.S. citizenship. However, a person who acquires a foreign citizenship by applying for it may lose U.S. citizenship. In order to lose U.S. citizenship, the law requires that the person must apply for the foreign citizenship voluntarily, by free choice, and with the intention to give up U.S. citizenship.

Intent can be shown by the person's statements or conduct. The U.S. Government recognizes that dual nationality exists but does not encourage it as a matter of policy because of the problems it may cause. Claims of other countries on dual national U.S. citizens may conflict with U.S. law, and dual nationality may limit U.S. Government efforts to assist citizens abroad. The country where a dual national is located generally has a stronger claim to that person's allegiance.

However, dual nationals owe allegiance to both the United States and the foreign country. They are required to obey the laws of both countries. Either country has the right to enforce its laws, particularly if the person later travels there. Most U.S. citizens, including dual nationals, must use a U.S. passport to enter and leave the United States. Dual nationals may also be required by the foreign country to use its passport to enter and leave that country. Use of the foreign passport does not endanger U.S. citizenship. Most countries permit a person to renounce or otherwise lose citizenship.

Information on losing foreign citizenship can be obtained from the foreign country's embassy and consulates in the United States. Americans can renounce U.S. citizenship in the proper form at U.S. embassies and consulates abroad.
