I'm a July Dallas FO filer so this is huge encouragement for me. Thanks so much for updating!

My status has changed to "in line for Oath ceremony" today, 9 days after my interview...

When I checked my case yesterday for an update and did not see any change from what it have been since I did my biometric, I decided to call USCIS. I gave my IOE number to the lady that answered my call. Unfortunately, she told me that she could not find my case from her end and that she will transfer me to a higher level official. She did transferred me and I will prompted to select for a call back which I did. After about 3 hours, an officer called be back and he was able to locate my case. I explained to him that my priority date was May 5th and that my status never changed since I went for my biometric. He told me that my case have being with them for 160 day and that normal processing time is anything less than 180 days. He told me that I was placed inline for interview on September 28 and that I should hear from my local office in few days.

My husband calls periodically to check on his status (also Dallas filers with no in line notice yet). About a week ago he was reassured that his application was in line for processing, and that they were just experiencing delays. They mentioned that they were processing from January, so I would not be shocked if it is another month or two before we get an in line notice. My husband had hoped to vote in this election, but it does not look like that will be possible. My only concern is that he gets his oath before inauguration day, which I think will still likely happen .

Definitely worth a call - ask for a tier 2 officer

If she has an "IOE" in front of her USCIS number (meaning her application was made using the newest form), that's probably why nothing appears to have happened. The IOE forms require use of a new software or processing system (ELIS) and not all field offices have rolled out this update or are trained on it. Also, the IOE applications are being sidetracked, apparently, so as to allow USCIS to process all of the applications made using the older (NBC) forms. Adding insult to injury, apparently the newer ELIS system does NOT update the online account for every USCIS action, such as being in-line for an interview. There is finally some movement, though, on the IOE applications, with interviews being scheduled at several of the busier field offices in the US.
There is an extensive discussion on another immigration forum about this matter: http://www.trackitt.com/usa-discussion-forums/n400/1655760285/reciept-number-starting-with-ioe. If you read there, you should get a better idea of what's going on and what options you might have for an inquiry on your wife's case status.
    Best of luck!

My wife filed her N-400 packet in May and had her biometrics appt a few weeks later, a normal amount of time. Yet, there has been zero change to the USCIS webpage that displays status, no mailed notices, and no indication whatever of being in-line or having an interview scheduled, etc. I see that some May 2016 filers are already taking their oaths.
Any idea what might be going on? We live in Dallas, where I understand the wait might be longer. Is there any use in calling USCIS or are they just going to give us boilerplate non-info...?
We haven't moved since filing, so I don't think there's any issue there.

They won't reject her application, but you will probably receive an RFE for the previous year's tax return transcripts. What you could do is provide proof, and maybe a written letter, that you made below the income threshold required to file a return.
