Thanks for all the support guys. Where can i find more info on what to do next now that my wife is here with me. i.e..Her social security and all other things.

Yayyyyyy Visa is Approved guys. Thanks for all the support. I hope i get the passport back in time by monday so she can come back with me.

I'm up next.. Wish us luck. Flying to India to be with my wife for the interview. Might not be able to update the result right away but if all goes well we both should be back to u.s next week.

Congrats to all the approved and best of luck to all of us who are getting ready for their interviews. My wife never received packet 4 from New delhi embassy, so we are just going to go with the interview letter we got in the email. Hopefully that wont be an issue since most of our original documents have been submitted to the embassy per the NVC email. (Fingers crossed)

Yep, Can't wait. Going to India on the 13th so i can accompany my wife for her interview and bring her back with me.

She still hasn't received anything from the embassy (packet 1V) but i asked her to take the printout of the email for her medical which is scheduled for tomorrow.

Congrets .... no date for me yet... my CC date was July 11th.. still wating for the interview date.... i called them yesterday and same old message.. call us back on August 17th...

I think they take their time when it comes to embassies in India/bangladesh. I called them up today and still the same reply.. Call back around Aug 16th . I'm getting very anxious. ( Case completed - July 14th , new delhi embassy)

I just read somewhere that in New delhi embassy they tell you to wait 2-3 weeks to get your CR 1 visa once your interview is cleared. I was under the impression that you can get it in 1-2 days.

Can anyone comment on this ?

I'm planning to take a week off and hoping to book my tickets so i can attend my wife's interview and hoepfully get the visa in 2 days and get back with her but if this 2-3 week thing is true.. then that plan wont work and i'll be pissed. ( Her interview date isn't finalized yet but i'm hoping it will be early september as our case got in complete status on July 14)

What does it mean by sign in failed (SIF)?

My case status on NVC automated message says it was completed on July 14. My priority date is current as i'm a U.S citizen filing for my spouse in India. (My indian embassy is New delhi)

Is NVC gonna schedule our interview or they will sent it to the indian consulate who will then schedule it for us ?

How long does NVC take to send the stuff to Indian consulate once the case has been completed ?

Reading stories up here has been encouraging. I'll make my timeline soon.

I'm like many of you out there. Waiting for my wife to get here.

I'm a U.s citizen and filed for her IR-1 back in January 2011. I was under the impression that things will go faster and she will be here by June/july.

We have only spent few weeks together since the wedding and this long distance marriage brings its own share of stress which i'm sure most of you can relate too.

My question is : NVC automated voice staus finally changed saying my case was approved on July 14th and please wait 8 weeks for further instructions.I've a lawyer/agent who is doing things on my behalf. i want to know how long from now can i expect her to get her interview date. My indian consulate will be in Delhi since my wife lifes there.

If i'm correct, i don't have to worry about any prority date issue since she is my spouse and i'm a u.s citizen filing for her.

Any words of encouragement ? It has been a long 7 months that's for sure. How has it been going for all of you guys out there in the same boat as me
