  1. I am wondering if there are any other 2010 filers that waited over 9 months for their NOA2 that got out of the black hole and moved on. And I was hoping any other 2010 filers still waiting would let me know their story.

You can call USCIS Customer Service Office at 1-800-375-5283 and let them know that your application is out of standard processing time. Thats what we did when our application for my daughter was 6 months over we called the customer service and the service representative put our call in a service request after a week we got the approval!

    Good luck!

That's nice but be sure that they indicate that the travel tax is already paid with the ticket in their receipt so you don't have to pay for the tax twice. Coz sometimes, some people in the airport would try to make you pay even if you've already done that. So just to be sure, ask the travel agency to specify clearly that the tax has already been paid.

Good Luck on your child's journey here.

  3. Hi guys I spoke to mango tours agent this morning regarding the booking and travel tax, the agent told me that if I pay in cash(not cheque or credit card) we can avail the first time immigrant promo I will pay $700.00 including travel tax, and she said I will pay only 750Ph for Terminal Fee,

  4. CONGRATULATION!

Well, it was a simple performance and approval process at USEM today, and by bebeko was APPROVED!! Yeah, after all these months.... So happy to have completed another step.

However... we planned for her to go there now, so that her visa will be good until early Feb, when I will arrive back in the US myself (late Jan or early Feb). But the CO told her that her visa will only be good until 14 Jan!! Why only 5 months? This is a huge problem for us, since I cannot leave here until at least 21 Jan. Any idea why this happened?

  5. Thank you very much!

If you bought your ticket in the Philippines, it is most likely that the price already includes the travel tax but you have to check your receipt. If your husband bought the ticket in the US (like my then fiance, now husband did) you would have pay the travel tax. I paid PhP1,620 but this was 2 years ago. So maybe just prepare PhP2,000 to be sure. I learned about the travel tax during my CFO seminar so I guess they are more updated on the amount.

    Good Luck on your journey!

  6. To make is clear in my country Philippines there is a travel tax that you pay in the airport before you leave the country we have plan to buy my daughters plane ticket flight in two weeks we dont have any idea how much money will send to her to pay her travel tax.

There is no travel tax.... what are you talking about?

  7. Your welcome....You know what I did? after we filled my daughters petition (I-130) we prepare the next stage w/c is NVC stage we gathered all the documents that she need like: passport, Travel clearance and all supporting documents, after we got the approval we sent it right away and you will see our timeline 42 days in NVC, then next stage is the consulate interview I prepare my daughter sample interview question almost everyday we chat and I asked her the interview question that I prepared for her, and she did it with the help of God she passed the interview and approved, I always searched before the next stage come, now she handled all the documents that she need in CFO seminar or Pre departure seminar right now there are 2 documents are missing w/c is photocopy of her visa and the Immigrant Data Summary for USA-bound emigrant. Shes almost ready!Dont worry everything is gonna be alright keep hoping and keep believing God will make a way!!!

Thank you so much. its all come down to 9 days before the visa expires(Aug. 18th). It took the DFA over 4 months to issue the passport for her, her interview at the embassy was on Aug 3rd.. we are waiting to get the visa back so we can get her here. we need the CFO and also a DSWD form which requires the CFO sticker.. So much to do in less than 9 days.

    Thanks again, wish us luck.

    Hi ,

MY K2 step daughter is to leave the Philippines here in the next 2 weeks.

I have been searching for the req.'s for her departure ( ie. prism,CFO,DSWD or ?)

She is 12 years and, received a K2 visa. Is this all she needs to exit the PH.?

She will be traveling alone. WE will ask the air lines,(most likely PAL, at a cost of $75 to escort thru the terminals).

Any advice on the best way to proceed ?

    Thanks in advance.

    Keith S.,

  9. First let me greet everyone a good day...

....i jz wanted to ask if I need to call the US EMbassy Manila regarding my scheduled interview this Sept 12, 2011 for IR1 Visa....or i just need to be there on the scheduled date? ...ive read this info from their website " IMPORTANT: You must call the US Embassy in Manila's Visa Information and Appointment services at blah blah blah...or visit their website to register your designated delivery address"...

I just want clarifications is this applies to IR1 Visa applicant or for K1 Visa only wherein you need to schedule ur visa interview unlike the IR1 wherein NVC and US Embassy Manila scheds ur interview and u gt to receive the interview letter stating the schedule....(Confusing)

    I would appreciate any advice...thanks....

If you got your interview appointment all you need to do now is to prepare all the documnent that you need in your interview date base on your documents status that you can find on the 4th page of your interview appointment letter or packet 4 and be there in your scheduled time and date. Good Luck

    Hope it helps

    Cel&Arch

Thanks! Early on, I got an advice from a fellow VJ to fill up I-864w for our child. I have to research more on it, though. Im really having a hard time coz there are only a few threads here about IR-2. Anyway, I will just ask around here until I will get the best answer. Thanks a lot!

  12. Thank you so much! 7 weeks is not too bad! I'm really hoping for an interview in September. Was your daughter's case processed in Manila as well?

NVC forwarded my daughters case last July 12, Shes doing her advanced medical right now with my brother, her interview was set on August 5, 6:30 AM. wish us luck!!!

I adviced you to call the NVC operator after 10-15 days and ask if the interview appointment for you mom was set. Thats what I did after 11 days called NVC and I got my daughter interview appointment.

  13. For children under a certain age they will try the skin test first so they can avoid exposing them to x-rays if possible. With the Skin test they require you to return in 2 days not the next day so they can check the injection site.

If the skin test is positive then they will do the x-ray. Kind of stupid in a country where kids get the BCG (maybe initials are wrong?) at a young age.

Yah! you're right Bob 4 Ana For children under a certain age they will try the skin test first. 14 yrs and under they do skin TB test on the 1st day of medical but in my daughter case no skin test and no exray happened they forgot to test her and they asked to comeback aftewr 2 days for nothing I said that becoz what are they going to observe on my daughter skin nothing!!! after 2 days my daughter and my brother went back to St Lukes they found out that they did'nt give my daughter skin TB test. Right away they gave my daughter skin TB test and asked to comeback on Friday
