      Hey guys! We got approved! Now we are just waiting for the visa. They said it could take two weeks or a few months!

    oh this question was in regards to K1 visa I-129F

      I have been patient, but maybe me and my fiance just got unlucky. Our timelines are similar and you have already gotten your interview. We are still waiting. They advised him to go by himself and make medical appointment. Which he did that and completed it. They emailed me and told me that they are backlogged and they will contact him when they are ready. Our packet has been there for 4 months now. :( We still have not gotten any instructions or interview date.

      We are also waiting for our Packet 3 from Kabul Embassy. Our petition expires in June. I do believe there is a way to extend that. Im not sure if it is automatic or we have to do it.

    how long does it take for a K-1 visa to get approved?

      Tamana jan, I am not sure but I know it varies. Here on VJ I seen some from Afghanistan get approved fairly fast. I think if it's less than a year I would be so grateful. My fiance is living in Afghanistan and it looks like we got our NOA1 at the same time. I would love to share stories with you and go through this journey together. :) Khuda Hafiz
