My main question is a vague one: which visa route should I take?
I am a Canadian post-secondary student acquiring an applied bachelor in professional writing, which has offered me many of the benefits of a bachelor as well as some work experience in the government sector. Unfortunately, I have limited work experience and have not worked more than summer jobs (though they have all been in my field.)
My university is offering a full bachelor program in professional writing and many of my classes should be transferable.I hope, in time, to immigrate to the United States so I can be with my girlfriend (same-sex relationship). I do have the intent to live in the United States on a permanent basis. As we are both currently in school it would be difficult for her to support me as a fiancé or spouse – though we hope to live together for some time before making this decision since we are both fairly young.
Would it be most beneficial for me to complete my bachelor and apply for an H-1B?
