OK. I am trying to determine when my husband will get his interview. i need everyones help. I need to know where they are on the back log. My case ended on July 20. Can you guys let me know when your cases ended and if you have your interview dates yet for Cairo?

OUR CASE CLOSED AND COMPLETED AT THE NVC ON 6/1/2011

THE ONE WHO COMPLETED THEIR CASE ON APRIL JUST RECEIVING THE INTERVIEW DATE THIS MONTH FOR OCTOBER

SO I THINK WE WILL HAVE TO WAIT FOR 2 OR 3 MONTHS CAUSE THE NEXT MONTH THE ONE WHO COMPLETED THEIR CASE ON JUNE WILL HAVE THEIR INTERVIEW DATE ON OCTOBER FOR NOVEMBER , AND WE WILL RECEIVE OURS ON NOVEMBER FOR DECEMBER , I THINK .

I HOPE I HELPED U , AND I HOPE THAT WE HAVE OUR INTERVIEW SOON CAUSE WAITING IS SO BAD!

thank you. thats kinda what i figured cause i know they were catching up on their backlog. i just didn't know how caught up they were or anything

I know that there is a backlog but i do not know how bad it is.

Yep, looks like you'll get case complete very soon. As far as how long it takes to get an interview appointment, that very much depends on the Embassy. I know Cairo interviews were disrupted for a while due to recent events there...so I'm not sure how long it takes. You many want to check the MENA forums for some recent interview times to get an idea. Best of luck!

how will they notify me that my case has been completed? The last few things they sent me have been via email but i started out with regular mail? I am going to call them tomorrow! What are MENA forums?

the box says my case is not eligible for further processing with the NVC. What exactly does that mean? Does it mean my husband will get his appointment soon? if so how long does that usually take?
