  1. You will probably be denied, sorry to say. As far as I know, the embassy has no leeway in deciding to accept early applications. When did you officially become a resident (get your Irish "greencard"? This could be even later than the day you arrived. But my USC husband was in Ireland three years before we filed, so I have no personal experience. It might be worth contacting the embassy and checking with them before you waste money, time and effort putting an application together only for them to reject it.

I got my Irish green card Febuary 18th so August 18th will be 6 months. Thank you for getting back to me. I will ring the embassy tomarrow, today is a bank holiday. I think they will say no, but I will ask sence it's only a few days. I have are application ready to go. :-( Thank you again!!!!

  2. Hi everyone I am new. I will be filing I-130 for my husband on August 14th though the U.S. Dublin Embassy. I am filing on August 14th to avoid the DCF cut off of August 15th. But I come to live in Ireland on Febuary 16th 2011 so I am 2 days shy of living here 6 months. Do you think they will except my forms or denie me because of 2 days? I need Help! Has anyone filed early before they were a resident? Any advice would be greatly welcome! Thank you soooooo much.
