Correct. While we wouldn't recognize such a marriage in an attempt to obtain an immigration benefit for you as the immigrating wife, you do list it as a marriage and divorce for historical/biographical purposes.

I am not the immigrating wife. I am American. We are starting the process for my second husband to come to the U.S.

For line 11 on the I-130 it asks to list prior spouses. I was married previously to a Muslim man who was married when he married me. We did get a divorce, but since this is not recognised as a legal marriage in the United States do I put his name or do I put "none"?

I'm not sure, just starting all this. Do I do the K-3 first of the I-130?

My husband lives in Saudi Arabia. We can not live together as husband and wife until he gets his visa to come here. The only proof of marriage we have is our marriage certificate. Is this enough? We got married in Egypt about a year and a half ago and we were just in Egypt together last month for 2 weeks. Other than that, we are not able to live together. It is very difficult for women to go to Saudi Arabia....and impossible if your husband doesn't have a degree.
