Hi everyone.. I'm July filer too. We receive our N01 last July 25. still waiting for the result.. My fiancée emergency visit me last November 7, cause my mom passed away. I hope and I pray to hear good news this end of month..
I hope everyone get the good news. It's been hard to wait , but I know it will be worth it. God please help us..
Ugh. I'm so sorry to hear that. It seems like our lives are put on hold while we wait out the bureaucracy, but of course they move on without regard. I can't express how sorry I am for your loss that certainly puts the process in a different perspective.
I hope that you will hear good news soon, and my best to you and your family, old and new.

What is the difference between berkely's list and igor's list?
The Berkley lists are compiled from Igor's data. It's the same info, just organized chronologically by filing date. Makes it easier to see how many people (from VJ) are waiting in front of you.

You are welcome.... I am jelaous too in a good way. My fiance is not goint to be able to be here for the Hollidays, hopefully he would be here for my birthday in January.
Sigh!!! This waiting is pretty bad... I am trying to be patience about it but sometimes It puts me down.
Hey,
I'm sorry you guys are still waiting. You are #124 on the Berkley list. If you throw out the Mays (which most are probably approved but not reported), you would be #91. I'm sure it can't be much longer.

Congratulations!!!
I am getting more and more anxious now that you all are getting NOA2 approvals.... where is my NOA2 _ ... lol...
Thanks!
Yours is coming soon! They're really chugging through these at VSC now!
-
HEY!! We got approved today!!!!!!!!!!!!
Exactly 3 months!!!
I'm sharing the news with Vero right now!

I went to visit Ira on the 20th of September and spent my birthday with her (21st). I just got back on the 3rd...15 minutes actually before the 4th. Tonight I got an email stating:
1 day short of three months...I had braced myself for another three months wait...my hands are shaking a bit...on to the next step!
Good luck to the rest of July filers!!!
That is Great! Congrats!!!

A total of 5 July NOA2's so far!
(one of which is a day after our submission... but that's ok!)
And the final numbers are in for July... as expected there are fewer July petitioners (about 75% fewer than previous months). Hopefully they will burn through them quickly now that they've begun!

Just got home from a short visit to Spain. I was hoping the final July statistics would be up on Dashboard by the time I got back but.... not yet. I think they come out on the 15th of each month anyway.
Next up is a trip to Mexico in November together.... then, hopefully not long after, another trip to Spain for an interview!
My Spanish has improved notably, btw.....

Hey Yankee!
Just to update everyone... It looks like CSC is processing June petitions (Yay!!!) while VSC is still stuck in April (Booooo!!!!)
At least it looks like a few May's have gone through Vermont recently...
The numbers are in for June filers: 2160 petitions received in Vermont, 4163 in California... both are about the same number of petitions as were received in May and April.

"I know they make exceptions," is not the same thing as, "they do not allow co-sponsors."
However, I would strongly disagree with your revised opinion. Based upon my personal experience, and based upon what I have read here in VJ, my opinion is that Manila accepts cosponsors in K-1 cases more often than not.
My opinions aren't revised, they are expanded. Thank you for expanding that one, and for reinforcing the original point: that the OP should become aware of potential issues with co-sponsorship at their particular consulate.

I was planning on using my parents US address. It is the last US address I lived as well. Is that a problem?
No. Not a problem at all. I was thinking if you had yet another address for line 14, you may want to include an explanation. But if it's the same address, it'll be fine.
-
The U.S. Embassy Manila (USEM) allows cosponsors for K-1ers on a case-by-case basis.
A coworker of mine successfully used a cosponsor at the USEM. Several other VJ members have reported successfully using cosponsors at the USEM.
Agreed. I know they do make exceptions. But the problem with any unwritten policy is inconsistency and unpredictability. Why they are allowed to hold US citizens to a different standard is beyond me.

So when fill out the I-129F Part A info about you......
This is the place to put my US address (parents house). This will be the main contact address.
When filling out the G-325a it is ok to put my address here in mexico for current address?
There will no be any red flags for different addresses on the two forms?
Thanks..
No, it's not a problem. The address on the I-129F can be a mailing address, even a P.O. Box, separate from your physical address.
I have a question, though. What address are you using for question 14?
-
I got a picture in my mind of you sitting in prison and chating on the computer . I just kept going till a few posts later someone said "penpal"
But then the site would have been called Interpol's, no?
-
I believe this is a matter for the I-129F rather than the G-325A. The G-325A only asks about the applicant's residence address for the last 5 years. There, you would put your physical address. I think you would put your mailing address in the US on the I-129F.
That's right. The address on the I-129F is where they will mail their correspondence. That can be your parents' address.
-
You might be looking at older posts. I believe older petitions required 4 copies, but the process now only requires 1 for each the petitioner and beneficiary.
-
Hey, I was reading the instructions for the I864 and it appears you do need the co-sponsor at that time to be an immediate family member just FYI in case you don't find work. Hopefully, this won't be an issue. Plus I have got other items wrong so you might want to check those instructions out for yourself.
No, the joint sponsor can be any US Citizen.
"A joint sponsor can be any U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or lawful permanent resident who is at least 18 years old, domiciled in the United States, or its territories or possessions, and willing to be held jointly liable with the petitioner for the support of the intending immigrant. A joint sponsor does not have to be related to the petitioning sponsor or the intending immigrant."
You might have gotten this confused with the primary sponsor who must be the petitioner.
-
In general, yes. Especially in cases of students or recent students. Note that the I-134 is not a binding document. It is an intent to support. When your fiance comes to the states and you are married, you will file the I-834 with the AOS, which is legally binding. Keep that in mind if you ask your friend to co-sponsor at that time.
-
I know that some consulates do not allow co-sponsors (e.g. Philippines, Vietnam and Nigeria) but some also limit the use of co-sponsors to immediate family members. Your best bet is to call and ask the consulate what their policy is. If you can get an immediate family member to sponsor you, it would look better for your case.
Assuming that they do allow co-sponsors:
Put "student" for the time you were in school on the G-325a and "unemployed" for the time after until present
Despite the fact that you currently don't meet the financial requirements, you are still the main sponsor, and must fill out an I-134 for yourself and one for the co-sponsor.
1 co-sponsor will be enough if she makes that much money...
It is not uncommon for students or recent grads to go through this process and provide a co-sponsor.

I am, therefore I was, and had to be. Verb, slightly twisted, a la Descartes.
"I DO therefore I BE" ~Descartes
"I BE therefore I DO" ~Voltaire
"DO BE DO BE DO" ~Frank Sinatra

I was vacationing in Spain and staying with the family of a very good friend. While there, my friend told me about a friend and co-worker of hers that she wanted me to meet. She said that as we were both coming out of bad relationships, we'd have a lot in common. I was extremely skeptical, especially because I didn't know much Spanish and her friend didn't speak English. But I am extremely happy that she talked me into it. For whatever reason I found that I could understand HER Spanish when she spoke to me, and she could understand MY English. We've had our problems, here and there, communicating, but overall it's been very minor. My Spanish has improved immensely since we've been together...

He will be fine. Although technically out-of-status he will not be removed because he is eligible for adjustment of status.

I agree that form G-325A for work history is way too short. I couldn't type in full addresses in. I had to abbreviate and also leave out spaces because I used adobe to input.
My fiancee only worked at one place in the last 5 years and only had 2 apartments in that time, so on hers I used 2 lines on the form for each address and made sure the dates lined up correctly.
Mine, though, forget it. Not even close to enough room. Had to use a separate sheet. But either way, they accepted it and sent it on for processing.
I don't think they make that big of a deal about this form. Technically they don't even need to be signed. The petitioner's signature on the I-129F is deemed sufficient and the beneficiary can sign at the interview.
-
As far as the address goes, that'll get it there.
I'm hoping they won't have a problem with the addresses or blue ink (I have a feeling it'll be fine), but if they end up sending it back, use a separate sheet for that item. That's what I had to do.
