  1. Hi everyone! :)

I am about to send off the next lot of documents DS 230, 156 etc in response to the NOA2 from the London Embassy and I have a little concern. The validity period of my petition is up on the 31st May so does this mean I need to send a notarized letter of intent along with this package or am I within the time frame so that is okay?

I find all the wording a bit confusing to be honest and am not sure if they mean you need to send all your docs in within 4 months or if you need to have had your interview and all that jazz within 4 months?!!

    Please help! :)

    Thanks so much!!

  2. Hi,

Now I should probably know this but I have seen on some people's timelines that is says "NVC received and NVC left" - what does it mean??

All we have had is two different letters (assuming NOA1 and 2) about moving to next stage and then I got a letter from US embassy in UK telling me to go on the website and fill a bunch of forms out to send to them and that I had 4 months to do it.

So am I missing something crucial here????

    :)

  3. Were now over 5 months waiting for the approval from the Vermont Service Center. Is anyone else having the same experience or have heard any reason for the slow service???

    Hi,

We waited 5 months exactly for our NOA2 and from looking at a few folks timelines I think that seems normal at the moment. I hope you get it soon! It was driving me crazy so I feel your pain!! :)

  4. Hi all,

I wonder if someone can help me? I am preparing the next load of paperwork in preparation for the interview stage at the embassy and in preparing the I-134 I am a little confused as to the definition of a joint sponsor versus a household member. My fiance's Dad will be joint sponsoring us but as we would be living in the same house I am not sure if we should have him fill out as a joint sponsor or as a household member whose income you combine with my fiance's. Anyone know??

Also someone told me you need three years worth of tax returns but I can't see that stated anywhere in the guidelines. Am I missing something?

Any help would be really appreciated - thanks! :)

  5. Hi peeps! :)

I am filling out my second lot of paperwork to send to the embassy so I can get my interview date and I have a quick question on the DS-230.

For all the places you have lived since 16 yrs old do you include university accommodation because technically that isn't your home or registered address. What should you do? Just stick with home or add them in?

    Thanks,

    Zoe

  6. Hi guys and gals! :) Happy New Year!

I wonder if someone can help this novice here in the UK! :) The Texas processing centre received our I-129F on 31st Aug and still no word. I can see from latest timelines that CSC is currently processing apps from 5th Aug and VSC from the 31st - anyone have any clues on Texas at all? I would appreciate any updates or insight people may have.

I was starting to worry I had done something wrong and thinking I should try to call but can we even get to speak to anyone? My fiance has tried a number of times but the crazy recorded options send him around in circles - again any expert advice from any of you out their in visa land would be so appreciated!! :)

    Thanks so much,

    Zoe

  7. Hi all,

Quick question. Now I know we have to send the pack off to the Dallas address but on the cover letter and letters of intent it says to put your service centre address. So is that the address of the local USCIS office to my Fiance which in this case would be Helena Montana? Also is that what I should put on my letter too?

    Thanks,

    Zoe

  8. Me again!! :) I am getting brave (or annoying) aren't I?!! lol!

Okay so on the top of my content letters etc I need to put the local office filing address or something to that effect...can someone please push me in the right direction to get that? I did find it once ages ago and now my mind is blank...I blame work! lol!

    Thanks again! :)

  9. Thanks so much to all of you for taking the time to reply, I really do appreciate it. :) I know it is silly but I do get so nervous about this stuff because you hear all the horror stories don't you?!

Thank you all for your honestly and for making me feel better too. I am happy I plucked up the courage to post on here at last! :)

  10. Okay folks, second silly question of the evening here but one that has been troubling me because like most things in life it is the littlest things that can trip you up! :)

So I wondered if there is any "special" way you are supposed to secure your pack i.e. any special fixings you are meant to use to hold all your papers together?

Also anything you can't do such as use highlighters or post-it notes or anything that seems silly to me but makes sense to those handling these applications everyday?

Apologies if this is covered elsewhere in the forums...do just point me in the right direction if necessary - I won't be offended.

    Thanks,

    Zoe

  11. Yes, you can visit.

Seems like you have strong ties.

I am visiting in September too.

I am gonna bring the copy of our I-129f application with me to show them that we are going about the whole thing legally and I am not tryin to commit any fraud. Also thinking about getting a letter from my girlfriend stating that I am staying with her while I am there and they can come to her if I overstay.

Hope that will get me through!

    Good luck!

Thanks hon! Yep a mortgage and plenty of bills!! lol! I hope you have a wonderful visit in September too!! :)

  12. Hi everyone,

I am new here so please forgive any stupid or constantly asked questions! :) Now I know this topic has been posted before but I like to try and get the latest info from people so at the risk of annoying people I have a question around visiting my Fiance on the VWP after we have submitted the K1. I know a lot of you out there have done so without problems and it is recommended that you take strong evidence of ties to come back home. I am planning on visiting mid-Sept for 3 weeks so would you say the following items would be evidence enough:

    - Copy of mortage agreement?

    - couple of bank statements?

    - last 3 months wages slips?

Anything else advised that will strike the right cord with officials? I do have my return flight booked of course.

Also, is there any official US document that states it is okay to visit on a VWP as you go through the process?

Or alternatively is it better to apply for a tourist visa? Although I am not sure there is time now! :)

    Thanks so much,

    Zoe
