I hope AP time wouldn't be long for you guys. We actually didn't receive AP or 221g. After the interview my husband got his passport back with in a week. I hope its quick for you guys too!

walaikum salam. no you don't need another police report or birth certificate. They will keep the police report i believe, but they will return you the original birth certificate at the interview. I hope you have copies of everything. just bring those. You will be fine. Best of Luck!!

We sent them the original. They made a copy of it and returned it on his interview. You should be fine. They return all original documents that they asked for. If you offer them an original that they didnt ask for, then they might keep it. so only send them original that they asked: birth certificate and police certificate.

Yea, they used my email address to send the packet 3.5 and then i forwarded it to my fiance. So don't worry about that. Best of luck!

If they call to pick up packet 4, it will not be from the embassy, it will be from AMEX in Blue area. address: http://islamabad.usembassy.gov/courier_services.html

After packet 3.5 which is sent via email, they call to ask your fiance to pick up packet 4, which is the interview letter. (Make sure your fiance gives contact information in the visa applications). Some people also just receive an email for the interview as well. (if its emailed, make sure your fiance prints it and brings it to the interview).

You can pay in rupees also. My fiance paid in dollars. They accept both.

for us it took 5 days. Call them to find out whats taking them so long?

They asked the usual a couple of questions:

1. name of fiance

2. Where are you going?

3. what are your wedding plans?

that's about it. I think they ask general questions to everyone and then become specific to the case, if there is anything. i think our case was very typical one. so didnt get many questions. He was done in 5mins.

Yes it is quiet possible that you will receive the material back, if you sent more than just the forms. They kept some things from the packet but they returned the rest. So if the return some of your stuff, don't worry about it. Just have it with you at your interview just in case they want to see it.

i signed most of them except for the ones that said "do not sign". I dont remember which one it was. I think the one u mentioned. Just sign only where asked. i think there was one form that didnt have a line to sign anyway. So didnt sign that.

I don't have the interview date yet.. just waiting for that to come. Did you submit the packet? It shouldnt be long now. (hopefully)

I filed a few days before you, got NOA2 2 weeks before you and got the packet from embassy 1-1/2 weeks from now. Just waiting patiently.
