Sorry about the late reply, we booked the PCC appointment using tatkal. The appointment was two days after we booked it using high speed internet and a constant refresh as soon as it was open. You should get the PCC the day of the appointment.

For the PCC, I had received my passport within six months of trying to get my visa. I only needed the PCC from the Regional Passport Office. It only took one day to get the PCC once I had an appointment at the office that issued my passport.
