  1. Hi,

I need help on this. I traveled to Philippines last December 27 while my application for removal of my conditional resident is still in process and I just present my expired greencard and original NOA Letter with no problem at all.

Now, my husband told me that USCIS approved my petition for removal and sent my 10 year green card.

In the letter they sent before the card, it was stated not to travel outside the US without receiving the card or I will may have difficulty reentering the US. I scheduled an Infopass here in the Philippines to ask about it but the Filipina USCIS representative just gave me a vague explanation. She asked what is the airlines and when I said Delta, she just said just present the letter and it depends on the officer in charge if they will accept it or not.

While I'm reading the Extension Letter, it was stated there that "This extension letter and authorization for employment and travel does not apply to you if your conditional resident status has been terminated".

I don't want to risk of sending my card from US to Philippines as I will go back home in 2 weeks. (My husband emailed me copy of the letter and my 10 year GC)

Anyone who gone in the same situation like me?

  2. Hi iam new to VJ, i have been following the august 2012 k1 AOS threads sincerely. Now ive finally decided to become a member. The latest email i got from USCIS is as follows "Your USCIS application/petition has been received and routed to the National

Benefits Center for processing." I got this on Aug 3rd 2012. Its a k1 based AOS case. Now my case is nearing the 10th month mark. Yes, iam very anxious and nervous. Anyone else in the same boat?.

We have the same NOA date (Aug 3, 2012). Mine was just approved last May this year without no knterview but they processed it from NBC Missouri. Just hold on there!

  3. That's not a problem! I did all documents and requirement needed in the packet, put some SIGN HERE mark, sent it to my husband (I made exact copy for myself) in US and he went through signing it while talking online and after that, we sent it to USCIS and it got approved with no RFE! Just be sure to double check and if your still in doubt, triple check everything especially signatures!

  4. Just got a text message to check my case status and was so happy to see this appear on the screen! We didn't follow up it since the start of the year. And holla, no interview!!! I guessed they are on the roll now...

"On May 7, 2013, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

This step applies to applications that result in an applicant receiving a card (such as a "green card") or other document (such as a naturalization certificate, employment authorization document, travel document, or advance parole). Applications will be in this step from the time the order to produce the card/document is given until the card/document is produced and mailed to the applicant. You can expect to receive your card/document within 30 days of the approval of your application.

If you do not receive your document, please contact our National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283."

  5. Hi Guys,

I posted few days back about my concern on an AED/AP but that was resolved. thank you people.

So, since I received my AED/AP card combo on 3/22/2012, I applied for the SSN today.

the guy who was there to receive my application was not really very nice although he

was not really bad, after putting my info and photocopying my marriage cert, passport,

and combo card, he got back to me saying he cannot proceed with my application

because the DHS does not confirm/verify my document or alien status.

I was with my husband and my husband asked if we need to give him a call as soon

as we get something back from the uscis, and he said NO.

well we went out feeling disappointed, we need the ssn for state ID/ driver.

    any advice? tnx

It happened to me too. The problem was the info in DHS system is not updated. We have to wait for 3 weeks before I got the SSN card in the mail.

  6. Hello, Good day! I am new here, i dont know where and how to start browsing around the site. A friend of mine gave me the link. I just have some questions about starting K1 visa. Me and my fiance ( from US) were about to to start K1 visa process and he wants to send the application tomorrow. But after reading some infos online i end up browsing here again..Since he is going to send the application tomorrow, i wonder if theres any documents needed like my birth certificate, etc. or should we wait till we hear back froM them..

I am hoping that you could give me advices about this process? So that i can tell me fiance, He wanted to get a lawyer for easier and smooth process but i am the who suggest not to so that we can at least save some money for the whole process and spec. for tickets and fares soon..

Thank you very much for taking time reading this message and God Bless...

As what Bumbero and Lalo & Susana said, just go through with the guidelines and flowchart and you will be alright. Unless you have a complicated case to begin with then you need a lawyer. If not, you and your fiance can do this on your own.
