  4. Once she lands next week - how long does it take to receive her SS numbers - I assume the letter comes in my name ?

the only fee that will be due for AOS will be $1,705.00 that is for the K1 and K2, there is no fee for the EAD or AP if filed together with AOS. Wait 2 weeks and you will be able to get both a SS number in their maden name only, you will have to file the AOS after marriage to get the SS number in the married name.

  5. Our K-1/K-2 application was approved  My fiancee and daughter are leaving the Philippians next week for the United States. Now I have to prepare and educate myself for the rest of the process and application process.

    During there flight to the United States they will be given a I-94 form. They will proceed to Customs with their sealed package, I-94 for and passport/visa. {Beneficiary arrives at Point of Entry (POE) in U.S. and shows K-1 to the immigration officer}

Question 1# When do we get her Social Security number we applied for earlier in this process or should we reapply ?

We go to the court house and get the application for marriage and get married within 90 days.

Once married add them to my Insurance policy

Now we go back to the SS office with our marriage certificate for her name change.

Complete I-693 per the K1/K3 AOS Guide. This is required so that your vaccinations can be documented properly on the I-693 as part of your completed AOS package. { WE HAVE HER Vaccination DOCUMENTS FROM HER Physical } do they count for anything

Apply for Adjustment of Status (AOS) So I send I-495, I-765, I-131 and I-751 {all documents at the same time} do they go to the same mailing location ?

    I-485 Application fee for K-1 $1070

    I-485 Application for K-2 $ 635

    I-765 Application for Employment $380

I-131 Application for K-1 no fee when filed with the I-485

I-131 Application for K-2 no fee when filed with the I-485

    I-751 Application for K-1 $ 590

I-751 Application for K-2 $ 85 additional biometric fee only when dependent is added on line 5 of wife’s I-751

When do these forms get filled out or do they get sent with the AOS package ?

    N-400 Applications for K-1 $680

N-400 Application for K-2 $680 (not until she is 18 years of age)

    ANYTHING ELSE

  6. If the relationship is "REAL" and you have all your documents then this will not be an issues. My fiancee and daughter will be on a plane next week heading to the United States. Our age gap is 20 years  LEGITIMATE relationship with plenty of proof/documents you will have no problem. I did not attend my fiancee interview in Manila, but based on our file and supporting documents then only ask her (3) questions before she was approved..

I would suggest keeping {HANK_AMY} as your friend for "GOOD" advice through this process. I think I already owe him a few beverages  for his advice !!!

Hello VJ'ers that petitioned fiancee's from the Philippines. I have a questions about age gaps between the USC and the Filipina fiancee. Has anyone ever been denied based on a 25 year age difference from their fiancee. I know my first ex-wife Filipina and I had a 21 year age gap and did not have any problems. I know it is common in the Philippines to have a large age gap and for me age should not matter if you are in a legitimate relationship. I am 25 years senior to my fiancee and we both love each other. Just don't want the Consular Officer to play God and pass their own moral judgement when the evidence I have provided and continue to provide show that we have a real relationship. Any past experience would be appreciate. Thanks.

  7. I am guess I am an hour away - 20147 zip code  Maybe we can all get together from time to time ? Wine tasting event, horseback riding, food tasting, ect, ect.

VA/DC/MD so many things to do.

I am from Owings Mills Md and want to see if there are any other couples from this state that I can learn from before my future wife arrives. And also help her to feel at home and comfy too.

  8. First come - first serve for her medical appointment - You might be able to get everything done in one week ? Put I decided to give her a few extra days, just in case she needed something.

    Monday (Physical)

    Wednesday (Physical results)

Friday (CFO) Commission on Filipinos Overseas

    Monday (Interview Scheduled) and passed

I book their room through Asia Travel Hotels – Bayview Park Hotel that is located directly across the street from the Embassy and Saint Luke Medical Center. They received a better discount with the breakfast buffet then we could get from the hotel. $45 us a night.

  9. I just called Maria, about your question. At no time she had to leave her 7 year old daughter...They go through the process together. XRAYs the daughter had to step outside for just a moment.

BACKGROUND: My fiancee lives on Mindanao and will have to fly with her child to Manila for exams & interviews and will stay in a hotel while there.

My fiancee and her 5 y.o. son will be taking the St. Luke's medical exams sometime in the next few months. I figured that they'd both be doing them at the same time; he in the pediatric area and she in the adults area.

However, my fiancee texted me this morning that this may not be correct and she is concerned about leaving her child unattended while she undergoes her exam.

Can someone with experience taking a child to SLEC please chime in and explain what the process is actually like?

    Thanks!

Seems like everyone has a different experience in this process - this is our experience from this week.

  11. If this is how the relationship is now - I can not see it getting any better over time. I am no Dr. Phil..

So... I came here to the Philippines ONLY for my fiance, i've sent the initial I-129 packet off end of Dec, got notification of NOA1 around jan 4 but sad to say i just wasted all my time, money, and effort for her.... almost EVERY DAY we're arguing and she's too damn stubborn to listen or work out or anything..... all she does is run away and she thinsk that's the solution to our probs when it just makes it 10x worse!!! She is even avoiding her own family and doesn't even sleep at home anymore.... and dont even mention to text/call her as she doesn't ever reply to anything even V-day i just stayed by myself.... i even made up a story that i got snatched and you guessed it! she didn't even care and just hungup the phone on me bec she's too damn SELFISH and SELF-CENTERED & only remembers the negative parts of our relationship... really never met a more HEARTLESS girl then her it's quite sad bec before this trip she wasn't like this AT ALL otherwise i wouldn't have invested so much into her.

Anyway...... so needless to say, she doesn't have a copy of the I-129F i made for her.... and she also doesn't have the original receipts i brought.... im THINKING of coming back here in May 10 to surprise her in time for her bday later in the month and as a last resort to fix our relationship as by that time maybe i would already receive notification of NOA2...

i need to know what i should do with her complete copy of all the i-129 papers, and also the original receipts that she should bring to interview, if ever... should i leave them with a trusted person here? or should i bring everything back home with me and play the waiting game.... :/

i even took many pics of us in our few times we hungout together as "ongoing proof of relationship" as required by the NOA2, but didn't make any copies of anything.... including the hotel receipts. I just dont wanna waste EVERYTHING which is why im trying to utilize all my options esp. while im still here.

PLEASE HELP! DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO ....

    After they arrive

I-695 Vaccinations only given by a Civil Surgeon * medical Insurance will not cover any of the cost $200 per each vaccination. TOTAL COST UNK at this time. :crying:

  14. Visa Journey for the past 9 months have been like an extended family { Everyone has an Opinion } 90% of the advice and wisdom was {DEAD ON} and the other 10%.

The best advice I can give someone that is starting this process is take your time, do your homework and not not rush. Keep posting question and problems in the correct forum. Also review past questions in the forum of the country your getting the VISA issued from.

It is so important for everyone to write up their experience using their [Timelines}, {Medical} and {Interview} experience for the next person just starting the process.

I really want to thank everyone for their input during this process.

  15. That is what they told her on Monday. :wow: I had her a booked flight for March 15, so I just moved it to May 1. Reading some other timelines they seem to be shipped within 2 to 3 weeks. :bonk: Guess it will be warmer by then !

60 days???? It is just printing, for crying out loud... they used to be able to do this in a day in Manila.

  16. They told us on Monday after our interview - up to 60 days....

It has been over two weeks since approval but still have not receieved the passport back. Starting to get worried and upset. Called 2go many times since we selected to pick up the visa here in manila. Called the embassy many times just to have them say it has not been printed yet call back next week ecah time.

Anyone else got approved in 2012? How long did it take to get your visa?
