  1. I never heard about the CR-1, she doesn't have an AP to return. So, the CR-1 is almost like the K-3? why study the I-130? where can i find out more information about it. I am very greatful for everyone that respond. Thank you so much.

Hi, anyone have had a situation where we got K1 approval, married...had an emergency, flew back home. Now its been over a year. Do we have to do the K3 over again or are there any other way to get her back here? Any help is greatly appreciated. thanks Will :(

K3 or CR1. Begin by filing an I-130. Study the Guides for details.

    Yep, new visa time.

I would recomend doing the CR-1, for most consulates it is about as fast as K-3.

Do the CR-1 visa you will be much more happy for it because of the INSTANT GREEN-CARD.

For the most part CR-1 tends to take a bit longer than K-3 to get if you prepare for NVC when they request I-864 fee, and Visa fee, as well as documents requested by NVC. In many cases the CR-1 petition reaches the consulate just before K-3 interview, which causes K-3 to get dropped and the interview becomes a CR-1 visa interview.

    K-3:

    I-130: $355

    I-129F: NONE

    Consulate: $131

    AOS: $1010

    ($1496)

    CR-1

    I-130: $355

    NVC I-864: $70

    NVC Visa fee: $400 ($355+$45)

    ($825)

I see many posts from K-3 holders stating, "Wow this sucks, I am stuck at home because I don't have EAD, DL, etc, or I am having hard time getting added to bank accounts because of NO SSN." K-3 has a 90 day or longer period of limbo while waiting for EAD or Green-card.

K-3 was developed at a time when CR-1 was taking much longer that today, NVC has greatly streamlined the CR-1 process to the point where K-3 becomes irrelevant.

  2. Hi, my wife had her medical done prior to entering the US. on the AOS instructions says:

If you are a K-1 fiancé(e) or K-2 dependent who had a medical examination within the past year as required for the nonimmigrant fiancé(e) visa, you only need to submit a vaccination supplement (I-693A), not the entire medical report.

Where the heck do one get this form (I-693A) form. and if one get it, who fills it out...me or doctor...I am really stuck at this point on what to do. Please help, thank you all who answer..Pan and Will

  3. My fiance was granted a re-entry back into the USA (granted a second K-1 Visa). Upon her arrival, she had completed a new I-94 form, when tell immigration officer reviewed her paper work. They kept the entire new I-94 form and removed the old I-94 from her passport. We now don't have any I-94 form to apply for the green card. What do we do now and who where can we find the missing I-94 form. Your help is appreciated, thank you Will & Pan :(

  4. Reply to Robert....

That is so cool that you saw Kat in person, that's one of the things I like about Thailand. Me and Pan saw many movie stars and singers (Thai) in Thailand as well. They were so down to earth, they even took time to speak with Pan and took lots of pictures together with them. Unlike the movie stars we have in US, but I suppose that maybe a different level to Thai stars.

Also, I love Thai Jerky, Pan's been cooking a storm since she arrived in US. I think I've lost 5 pounds due to the hot Thai spices...lol

  5. Dan, I asked Pan that question and she said that it pertains to some Thai women (perspectively the southern region) after marriage, it is remove after two days from the ceremony. It is then put away and wore again for special occassions, like party or family gatherings. She said that it's not a custom but moreless than preserving the condition of the ring. She said most Thai women don't wear it because they work hard and don't want to damage, wear out or even lose it. So the answer to your question "may be some what true" . However, as we go through changes within our cultures and traditions. This too may be a thing of the past. I too follow what Anya and her husband do. I am not a ring person, so Pan doesn't mind me not wearing it. But she wears it only as part of her fashion....lol..., good luck

  6. Pan, had stored the BC away in her home by lock and key. She has the key here with her and don't know if any of her relative can find the box which has been stored away. but now that I know that we really need it. We are going to have to send a copy of the key to one of her relative. Hopefully she can find it and can send us a copy. Thanks Everyone, you guys are so cool!

  7. Billy, you are actually doing quite well with your K-1 process. It took us around 7-8 months from I-129F for Pan to enter the US. at the rate you are going she should be here on or before July 2006. That is really fast! hope you two will reunited soon. take care and good luck, Will

  8. Billy, what is your purpose of contacting the embassy? Interview date, BNK number...or just wanting to know if they received the paperwork from NVC? I don't blame you if that is the case because I wanted to expedite the whole process just like you. If you have any problems, let me know. I have a direct number to the consulate...just email me when you need it. Good luck, Will and Pan

  9. Kup Koon Krup George for the Thai temple addresses. We will definately visit the ones you've listed soon. We are residing in Sacramento and I think the temple are an hour and 15 minutes away but I don't mind the ride if its on Sunday. Any other days forget it (bay area traffic...lol) Will and Pan

Oops also thank you Yodrak, you've always been so helpful...thank you

  10. On the checklist, it indicated that a A copy of the intending immigrant's birth certificate along with English translation. My wife had left this in her home in Thailand. We are unable to get the documents. I know that the embassy had requested this document and may have a copy which may have been sent to the immigration dept. Is there any other way around this requirement, I don't really how we can get the cert unless we take a flight back to her home. Any sugguestions? She was born in Phang Nga, Thailand. Thank you for any help you can provide. Will and Pan

  11. Some more information is needed to answer your question. I will then assume because I had this happened to me just a month ago. First, you mentioned that the fiance did not work out or have you two reconsided? Also has the K-1 visa expired.

Here is my situation that I had. Fiance was granted K-1 and enter the US on 2/28/06, she left due to a family emergency two weeks after arrival. I then contacted my congresswoman and ask for help in re-issuing visa to my fiance. As long as the 90 has not expired. My fiance was granted another visa by the consulate. She arrived in the US for the second time on 5/25/06.

Hopefully that this is the case and you still have time left. If not, I think the other replys on this board may help. Good luck

  12. Hey Mike Congrats on getting the Visa :dance:

I was looking into the Sat dish for Thai TV, but Ton has found a web site that you can watch all the channels you want for free. It isn't too bad if you have dsl or cable. Let me know when she gets here to Torrance and I can give you some tips on places to go for food etc...

Ton is still having some adjustment problems.

I will try to find that website address for Thai TV and Radio.

    Dan

Here are some websites with Thai TV, as Dan said, you have to have DSL, Cable or other high speed broadband. Here are just a few, these are the ones Pan have used.

    http://mediahopper.com/portal.htm?http://m...evision/204.htm

    http://watch.squidtv.net/010302asia2t-01thailand.html

This one is cool because you can watch several at the same time. this is Pan's favorite.

  13. It's been a long journey for us, going through the K-1 Visa process. After 7 months we got approved but it wasn't easy. I escorted my fiance into the USA. However, after two weeks in California my fiance had to leave due to a family life threaten emergency. I missed my fiance, much sadness when she left. I didn't know how to get her back without doing the whole entire process over again. With some advice and help on visaJourney. I contact my congresswoman to explain to them about my problem. We were then able to get the consulate to re-issue another K-1 visa for my fiance to come back next month before the K-1 expires. I am just happy that she is coming back. I am also happy that I don't have to do this thing all over again. I like to give a big Thank you all who helped me with this problem. Thank you again, Will & Pan

  14. My Fiance has an emergency to fly back to Thailand. Her grandmother is very ill and may not have long to live. She arrived in the US two weeks ago, we were planning to wed next month and start AOS papers. She wants to go back to see her grandmother this weekend.

What happens now? Should I call USCIS to cancel the K-1? If we do the K-1 all over again, are there any penalty for which she has to wait to reapply again?

Thank you for anyone that can answer or come up with a solution. :(

Yodrak, I know this is a stupid question but how do I find 9 FAM 41.81 Notes, N6.3.? thank you
