  1. I just received my card in a mail....If you’re in customer service you should be ready that even you don’t like something about the customer or you having a bad hair day you can’t show it off. Can you imagine going to your bank with some questions about something you don’t understand and your banker raising the voice just because you don’t get his explanations the first time? I bet you will never come back to that bank. The difference with USCIS Customer Service is that we don’t have any other place to call with our questions. Even if the customer asking stupid questions your job as a customer service representative is to give the customer the correct answers and educate the person without showing any expression of anger....Why sometimes the USCIS Customer Service is what any American would find unacceptable?

Everybody has his own opinion and I respect it. But just think of what I wrote above. Would you come back to that Bank or Grocery store?

Congratulations! I agree with your discussion regarding customer service. I would not return the a store if treated badly by a rep. But, as you say, immigrants have no choice as to where they 'shop'.

Welcome to the U.S. as a PR!

Congratulations finish4start, glad to see your long wait is over at last.

    Cheers Lindy

  2. For those of you who got RFE'd and sent back the info they requested, did you get any kind of receipt or NOA from them or did you just sit back and wait for either your greencard or letter to make an appointment or whatever? I sent them the RFE'd info they requested about a month ago and have had no letter or email from them. As a matter of fact I have had no emails from Case Status at all since my application to remove conditions, I got the Receipt and NOA in the mail and did my biometrics and then got the RFE but nothing on my case status has changed since they recieved the application. I didn't even get an email telling me I'd been RFE'd. Any helpful info would be appreciated. Thanks, Lindy

I think they don’t send you any kind of receipt. In our case we received a letter less then in two weeks after we sent RFE to TSC saying that our case was moved to the local office.

So did you hear anything from them since? Does that mean you'll likely have an interview? Cheers Lindy

  3. Oh Happy Day, I finally got a card production email, hopefully I'll have my GC within 30 days. All that worrying for nothing as usual.

    Cheers Lindy

Congratulations! Your card should arrive in just a few days! Our arrived one week after card production notice.

Thanks jsassman, I hope so, I'm so tired of this whole process, now I still have citizenship to get through and then hopefully it will all be over. Congrats on recieving your GC too. Cheers Lindy

Congratulations! My situation is similar to yours. I am filing through the TSC, got RFE'd, sent my packgage back (registered mail and return receipt!), but I have not heard anything from TSC since. Mind you, it was only received at TSC two weeks ago. It would appear that they are taking about 8 weeks to process RFE's?

    Anyway, congrats!

Thanks Doyle, looks like you'll know more in about 6 weeks then, cheers Lindy

  5. I am aware of one case in which the online status check of an AOS RFE is noted in the current status. It says the RFE information requested has been received. Perhaps CIS is not consistent (duh!) and this only applies to RFE's for AOS...but they are not likely that inconsistent! If the information has been received, your case status has changed and they should note that! But what they 'should' do is like saying 'if'. There's a broad, gray area there!

Exactly, and it never pays to try to second guess them,or try to cut any corners. Which is why I'm in this worrisome position in the first place because instead of going to the post office and getting a confirmation receipt which is what I have done every other time I've made any applications, I wanted to get it straight in the mail slot for the carrier to pick up right away and figured surely it would make it there, it has every other time. When will I learn? Still kicking myself!!!! Cheers Lindy

  6. I sent them the RFE'd info they requested about a month ago and have had no letter or email from them.

Did you sent it with delivery confirmation? Then you would have proof from the post office that you have sent something to the USCIS, after they RFE'd you. When I applied for my first Green Card, I sent RFE'd evidence by normal mail, and it got lost. My application was subsequently denied, and my attorney had to write a motion to reopen the case. At least, the RFE'd evidence had a time stamp to support my story, and my case was reopened, but I had to pay the fee and to wait longer, because it was not obviously their fault. If you haven't any proof that you have sent the evidence, I recommned that you send it again, this time with some kind of confirmation that it has reached the USCIS.

This time I didn't send it with delivery confirmation and I kick myself for not doing it. Sent it priority mail instead. Geez, regretfully I may learn a very hard lesson here. Cheers Lindy

  8. Hi Ozlites, I'm following your progress, great that you have your biometrics appointment on the 10th.(we applied and got noa on the same dates) I wonder if I'll get a similar letter now too. I'm wondering if everybody has to do biometrics again before their 10 yr greencard is issued. Thanks for the heads up anyway I'll be stalking the mail carrier daily waiting for that letter. Cheers Lindy

  9. i still dont know....first of all...you's have known each other for sooooooooo many years,....you get married,..17 months into it, and now a divorce after knowing her for about 15 years????

something just isnt right on her side of things. First of all,...going out to a bar with another married man....what reason is there to do that??? personally, thats just inviting something that shouldnt be. From my point of view,...its like she has her freedom...and now its "out with the old, in with the new"....

    Best of luck.

Not to mention the 400 bucks for undies at Victorias Secret Hmmmmmmnnn!

  10. OzGal - I was just in Orlando last week. I was staying in a HORRIBLE motel though. My best friend lives in a great neighborhood, even though it's RIGHT in Disney's back yard but I actually like it in Orlando!

Hey Karo, Haven't been there yet, I pretty much live in a small world of my own here in downtown Orlando, but we'll get there one day I'm sure. Glad you liked it, sorry about the sucky motel.Cheers Lindy
