My fiance is on the plane from Damascus to Cairo, then later today Cairo to JFK. Ya rabb keep him safe! Alhamdulillah! Only a few more hours until all of this waiting is finally finished!

Got our visa today, alhamdulillah!!!! 1+ year since our petition was filed and 25 weeks of AP.

Embassy in Jordan changed their minds again and now want Mohammed's military paperwork. 3 months ago they told us not to send it! THREE MONTHS WASTED. UGH!

Its been more than a year since I last saw my fiance :-(

Got our notice of being put into AP today! Now the (hopefully) final stage of waiting begins!

Over a month since the interview and the Syrian goverment is making it impossible to get the documents we need. *Ugh!*

Result: Request for Further Information. Some more supporting documents for the AOS and a military exemption form. Hopefully after those are sent, things will continue to move along!! Inshallah ya rabb!

Beirut said yes?! They told me they will only take it if my fiance is resident of Lebanon. But they also said I could argue that this is a case of "extreme hardship" and they might accept. I'm still waiting to hear back. Do you have an interview scheduled in Beirut?

did you manage to get an interview in damascus, or were they closed by the time you got your NOA2? are you just going to wait it out or try to have your case transferred to a different embassy? best of luck!

any updates?

i've asked lebanon, turkey and jordan for a transfer, still waiting to hear back. they're saying that it can only be transferred if my fiance is from that country or has residency there. but they said that they would consider it in the case of extreme hardship, so i am still hopeful. the $400 isn't what worries me, its whether they will acce...

NVC received our case today! Still waiting to hear from Lebanon re: if they will accept our case transfer or not. Requested a hold at the NVC hoping that they can send it directly to Lebanon if/when we get the approval. Come on Lebanon...show us some mercy!

Hey, I got my NOA2 yesterday and I'm worried about the same thing. What did it say in your NOA2 letter? (I'm still waiting on mine, only have online approval).

And it costs FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS to move it to a different embassy? Where are you having it re-routed to? I'm planning on having it sent to Lebanon.

yes. i just type in the number they sent me on my NOA1 and it tells me that they are still doing the "initial review." not much help though...since its always the same thing every day.

are both you and your fiance in syria right now? how are things?
