Hello I was there recently and I didn't take anything cause I lost my vaccination card here in the US so they told me I did't need it, I paid $360.15 dollars, and two vaccination shots in my right arm, there was a guy with vaccination card and he paid $310.00 dollars, and two vaccination shots so either way you get the shots.
would they accept my husband's vaccination record from mexico, he's never entered the U.S. so all he would have are records from the seguro in Mexico...

biometrics need to be done before the interview, as i understand my husband had the choice to do in his hometown city (guadalajara) the ASC center was near the U.S. consulate or do them in juarez.
-
it was confusing to me too, so I just called the call center and i made my appt with the operator whom was very nice and they sent both my husband and I an email of confirmation!

When my husband did his in Juarez back in August, he took all his childhood records and a copy of his medical files from his doctors here. They told him none of that information mattered unless it showed updated immunizations (which they weren't). I did the math before he left and it turned out that it was cheaper for him to get the shots he needed at the Medico than it would have been for him to do it stateside. In total we paid $355 for the exam and 2 or 3 (can't remember how many) immunizations.
hi! mu husband will be having interview jan 9th, he does have his cartilla de salud from Mexico which shows vaccinations from hildhood but ivce read that they wont accept those as proof in juarez due to fraud/or not being recent. So if my husband were to get some of those vaccinations at the seguro will that be accepted?

See my reply in your thread.
THanks! saw your reply, thank you once again!

Hi, the ASC/biometrics appointment is the digital fingerprints and i believe also photographs done on your husband, in the interview letter you received there will be directions and a link as to how to make the appt for that, you can do it online or by calling the call center but that info is on the site also, it has to be done before the interview!!! my interview date is jan 09, in Juarez also, good luck!

thank you so very much lol the pet record is from a dog that we had in Mexico , i was thinking it might be useful for evidence since the vaccination records have his name and mine.and great I will for sure have my mother and sister type the affidavit, and yea I knew that Mexico didn't have police records available, He's mentioned something they make them get due to his job I think its similar to a background check and that if that might be helfpful evidence.

alguien sabe si necesito hacer cita para el examen medico o es nada mas de llegar y entrar a cualquier clinica?

do I have to schedule an appointment for the medical in Juarez?
I've already scheduled appt for biometrics in Juarez, online site is a bit confusing, so I had to call the centers to get my appt date.
-
I think I received Interview Letter today, just to be correct is it the one stating Interview data and forms you have to take etc, is there another email I need to receive for making an appt for biometrics and the medical? I have read some people have gotten their biometrics done at another U.S. consulate and not necessarily Juarez? is it possible? and how much is the biometrics fee? some have told me free others like 80, confused.

I don't know much about the Ankara embassy, so I'm not sure what the wait time is there, but it's obviously not the typical few weeks as it is with most countries.
But yes, definitely keep calling, and whatever happens, do NOT feel discouraged. My husband was everytime I told him no interview date was scheduled yet. But I remained positive and visualized calling and getting my interview date, and imaging each night going to the interview with my documents. Before I knew it, an interview date was scheduling for me!
Yay, grats!
Thanks Saylin!! your advice has truly been very helpful, you have made this journey a lil less stressful with all your knowledge, once again thank you!

Don't bother bringing the DVD of the ceremony as you're not allowed to bring electronics inside. They will not view it.
As for some ideas of proof, did either of you send greeting cards to each other? (birthday, holiday, etc) Even some from his family. I brought a Christmas card that my husband's grandmother had sent me. Also, do you have him on any kind of insurance or housing? My husband added me to his car insurance, so I brought a copy of that. Also brought the apartment lease that was also in my name. Of course, I never ended up showing any evidence, but I did bring some. Also, any correspondence between you and him? Either emails, IMs, Skype, text messages, etc.
lol totally forgot about the emails, yup I have plenty of those and skype and electronic greeting cards with personal messages.
I think in most countries, it's a lot simpler if it's the first marriage and no kids. And if he's never had any illegal issues that's always a bonus (both for immigration and otherwise!) He'll definitely get approved
I hope so, we are so anxious!

happy pre-thanksgiving to everyone in VJ!
I am still waiting to hear from NVC about any news on interview dates, My case closed nov 18, so they told me to call the 2nd week of the month in December but I will call again soon though, I have started gathering evidence of my relationship with my husband for example I have: wedding pics, pics of last year when I went to visit him, plane tickets, receipts of stuff we bought for our house in Mexico, money transfers from the bank when i sent him money, a copy of my bank where i listed him as beneficiary, and i also have dvd copies of our wedding ceremony, mmm i also kept a copy of our dog's vaccination record that we had though unfortunately she passed away, I guess that will show us being legitimate in our relationship.
Any thing else you guys think i can take?
By the way, he's never been here to the united states, doesn't have any illegal issues in mexico, neither of us has been married before nor have kids.I hope all this works in our favor and he gets his visa approved, we want to start our life together already!

was able to print out the confirmation page lol, had to navigate my way thru the whole system but got it, I called the operators and a lady told me I had to read the disclaimers first, lol ok. anyways today I got an email that said
Dear Sir/Madam:
All documentation necessary to complete the National Visa Center's processing of your case has been received. As soon as an interview date has been scheduled, the applicant, petitioner and attorney (if applicable) will be notified.
The applicant should NOT make any travel arrangements, sell property, or give up employment until the US Embassy or Consulate General has issued a visa.
The US Embassy or Consulate General may require additional documentation at the time of the interview.
Regards,
soooooo case complete right????

I'm trying to go back and print confirmation page of the DS 260 with the barcode, I go thru all the sections and when I get to the view where it shows all completed information with the next tab being family I only get you've encountered an application error, retry at a later time, It's been doing that for a while. is it a system glitch or does that mean NVC is reviewing my packet? should i call NVC to see whats up, I know that confirmation page with the barcode is important

Thanks for the advice!!!
@Navyk that's a great idea thanks
@jv323 thanks for the link and I know about the permiso brutal headache but luckily I just got my dual citizenship last month so I don't have to deal with the 'permiso' thank god. I will be getting married in jalisco as well. From what part of jalisco are from
that's great! then with the dual citizenship you won't have to get the permiso, I did, and yes lol it was a headache. My husband is from guadalajara =)
-
look at my timeline, I came back from Guadalajara early May this year and have been separated from my husband since that time. waiting time between NOA 1 to NOA 2 around 4-5 months, then days/weeks between getting case number and invoice number and beneficiary ID, submitting affidavits, DS 261 choice of agent and getting approved, then seeing if you get any RFE's. right now we are at the last step of having paid IV bill and submitted already DS 260 so hopefully that'll 3-5 days for them to review and hopefully soon get a case closed.sooo lol right now we are hoping for a January interview and it'll be a 9 month separation.

well since you'll be doing electronicall processing, the ds 230 which is the ds 260 electronic version and the ds 3032 which is the ds 261, you will be able to do those forms online, read this
http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Electronic_Processing
I know it says montreal but the steps are almost identical for mexico electronic processing, besides juarez requires it.good luck!
just something else I thought i might add, since you say you will be getting married in Mexico, you do know you will need to get permiso de la secretaria de gobernacion, pay for special permission and wait for it to be approved, plus meet with the requirements for each state they have like clases prematrimoniales del DIF among other requirements.well that's if you're marrying por el civil, that's what my husband and I had to do and this was in Jalisco.
About to go off to Mexico to be with husband and travel together to interview!!!I'
