  2. I would love to hear about your experience there

Could you share cost to stay there

    how you liked it

Also how many nights you stay there

How long did it take you to do medical and interview?

    Thanks so very much!!

I look forward to hearing your experience!

    [/quote

Agoda charged me $51 for a night. If u book directy to thier website they charge $53 which is not that bad but of course i would pick the lower price. Where ever we go (travel) my husband and i always book from agoda :)

Anyway, just arrived here they have a very small room but i dont mind staying just for a night and i choosed the room that is not close to the road cause i know for sure its gonna be a nightmare (noise frm the cars). As of now, everything is fine. will update u after i checked out :)

  3. As June filers we are beginnin

g to plan for a stay in Manila.

Right now we are looking at the Lotus Garden Hotel.

Has anyone here stayed there? Comments? Advice?

Can anyone with experience suggest how long we should book a room? (one week, 10 days? etc)

Should we book a week then just add as needed?

Can you SAFELY walk to embassy and St Lukes from the Lotus Garden? (if not what options do we have and what to expect in cost)

Any other advice for a stay in Manila for the K-1 experience is GREATLY appreciated

My fiancee will be traveling alone for the first time so any and ALL advice is welcomed (wish I could travel there with her!)

Can anyone advise about traffic in and around the area, good places to eat things to be weary of

    Thanks so much

I am sure other June filers will appreciate also

    Our time draws near!

I will be staying in Lotus Garden tmrw night, i booked from Agoda and i have no problem in booking. My interview will be on Wedenesday 6:15am :)

    ______CORRESPONDENCE INSTRUCTIONS:_________________________________

When responding to the National Visa Center, please include the bar code sheet that came with this

letter. Failure to include the bar code sheet may cause a delay in the processing of your case. The bar

code sheet should be placed on top of all documents being submitted for this case and mailed to the

    address provided.

    ______1 - IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 1:_______________________

The National Visa Center is waiting for an Immigrant Visa Application to be submitted for this case.

The Principal Applicant and any other Applicants who will be accompanying him or her to the United

States must now download and complete an Immigrant Visa Application; please visit the following

    website for instructions:

http://immigrantvisas.state.gov (click on the link for "submit Visa application and civil documents")

Please submit the Immigrant Visa Application form(s) and required supporting documents for each

Applicant in one package to the National Visa Center; sending this information separately will delay

    your visa.

By the way, Im done with the AOS fee and Application for immigrant fee, alls are paid.My husband sent Form 1864ez and they reviewed already the reason why they sent me an instruction for the next step :)

  8. Actually you should call the NVC tomorrow to find out what is specifically missing. We had sent in our IV packet with the DS 230 part 1 & 2, pictures, birth certificate, etc... I got a checklist emil for the birthcertificate about a week later. There are two kinds of official ones and we sent the wrong one. Then another week went by while I was preparing the translation of the new birth certifiate and i got the same notification that you got, saying imigrant visa part 1. I thought oh god, something else? Were they taking about the DS 230 part 1? I knew I had included that. So, long story short, I called and they told me that they were referring to the birth certificate and to just sent that with the other documents that go with it, the photo copy and the translation. The email saying imigrant visa part 1 was referring to original email requesting the right kind of birth certificate. Did you get another checklist email requesting something else? I would call them tomorrow to clarify what they need. Good luck. Getting closer.

Actually, they sent the packet 4 instruction twice but its all the same 1.application for immigrant visa

  9. It does look like they just need Part 1. Did you not send part 1 when you are sending the IV Packet? If you haven't sent IV packet at all then ignore this false checklist and follow guides here on what to send.

When you recieved your packet 4 instruction was it the same as mine?? I dont really know if should i just leave it to my agent or should i insist my agent to send all the documents even though its not listed on the instruction on packet 4.

  10. Non of the IV packet should have gone to USCIS. You need to submit, according to the guides

Send your IV Package (USPS Express mail gives tracking and essentially insures delivery)

    Below are the package contents:

BARCODED Cover Sheet (to be printed from web when your status is PAID online for IV bill)

You OWN cover sheet listing what documents are in the package, so they're easy for the reviewer to locate

Completed DS-230 part I & II and ONLY part I signed by beneficiary.

Photocopy of the beneficiary's passport biographic data page.

Original/certified copy of beneficiary’s birth certificate.

Original/certified copy of beneficiary’s and petitioner’s marriage certificate.

Original police certificates of the beneficiary.

Original/certified copy of military record, if applicable.

Original/certified copy of divorce decree, death certificate, etc. of previous marriage, if applicable.

Make 2 extra copies of this package. Send 1 copy to the beneficiary

Once everything has been sent in, it's time to wait.

    Good luck

My agent said there should be an specific documents written on the letter of instruction like what u wrote.

  11. Hello everyone! Does anybody get the same instruction like mine? I am really curious about this letter of instruction.. I heared that the NVC list down all the documents written on the letter that u needed to send on the packet IV...

Here's what i recieved from NVC..

Does it means i need to send only the Immigrant Visa Application Part 1??? Please help, im confused if should i include the Marriage Certificate, NBI Clearance, B-certificate, Passport photocopy and Visa photo ID 2x2 ??? I sent all that documents when we started the Form I-130..

  12. Hello, I need help... We are seriously worried about our visa case status. We got our NOA1 last November 28, 2011 since then we have not heard anything other than we can check our status through online in USCIS site. Is it normal or should we apply Form I-129 right after we recieve our Notice of Approval 1??? I've read some post here and same situation as ours (k3) took them 3 months to recieved the approval of Form-I 130... Our's is been 4 months ago and still in initial review... What is happening??

  13. Are you talking about the I-130? Cause that's filed to USCIS, not NVC. You have to wait average 5 months for the I-130 to be approved, then it gets sent to NVC for more processing.

timeline.gif It'll be easier to answer the question as well as help others.

What would happen if the agency sent it or filed in the wrong address. Are they going to send back our petition or return?

  14. THat I can't answer coz my husband filed the petition here in the Philippines to make it even faster (through Direct Consular Filing). It took us 124 days from date of filing till getting our visa approved. What I can tell you, though, is that during the interview when my husband came with me this morning, there were more questions directed to him than to me, like where he used to work, what does he do for a living in the US. For me, the pre-screener only asked me to state my name, my birthdate, asked me when and where we met and if I was ever out of the country. The consul just asked me how long we are married (7 months) and we're done.

And if you don't mind me asking, are your parents married? coz this might be a valid reason why you and your sibling do not have middle names. If that's the case, then you can justify why you don't have middle name, meaning it's okay for you and your siblings to not have one. But if your parents are married, then you need to get a clearer copy of your BC from the registrar. Maybe its a clerical error, like my father's name does not have jr. because they said that the carbon paper was not "effective" enough that's why it did not reflect on the BC that the local registrar submitted to nso.

As far as i knw my parents are married and even thier BC dont have any middle name on it

  15. Or you can just read this. some people don't really have middle names. click the link below which may help you.

    http://www.pinoylawyer.org/t3791-no-middle-name

All of my brother and sister doesnt have a middle name on our BC but i might need to fix it before we start the process :) ... Thank you very much:)... Would u mind if i ask another question, pls... Does the husband will have an interview as well in the NVC?

  16. You need to get that fixed, coz during my interview, the prescreener encircled the names, (given, middle and surname) and compared it with the passport. You ca have that fixed at the local registrar where your birth was registered, will prolly take a month or so to process.

You may be right but how could they compare my birthcertificate since i am using my husbands last name already.. On my passport my middle name now is my maiden name.
