  1. We filed on May (don't remember the exact date, around the 1st) and received biometrics in late June. We received an RFE on 07/27/2015 and submitted everything about August 10th. Have many of you received an RFE? We submitted quite a bit of documentation with our original application and even more to respond to the RFE. I am just wondering if they will interview us? Soon? We sent our application to VSC. Thoughts?

  2. My fiance received his visa today! Tomorrow will be 8 months since I submitted the petition for K1. He had his interview on May 30. They kept telling him that filing a false petition was a Federal crime and that he could go to jail. The CO told him that he didn't believe we had a bona fide relationship. He told my fiance to submit anything he could to make him believe it. We submitted Skype logs, chat logs, phone bills, photos, and letters from my friends who have talked to him on Skype. They called last week and asked for his passport and we HAVE THE VISA IN HAND! I can't believe it. All that worry, stress, lonliness and now we are finally on our way. Please please please hang in there those who are waiting for an answer.

  3. If you both have a Smart phone (i.e. Iphone etc), you can download an app called Viber. This is what we did. I took him my old Iphone when I upgraded. He jailbroke the phone, put his sim card inside and added a cheap data plan. He can also use WiFi on the phone. Viber allows you to text, send photos and call for free. The phone connection can be a little sketchy at times but it's completely free. Just a thought!

  4. You mention twice that he is your fiance and once you stated the CO told your husband. So maybe the CO was confused also about your relationship.

You need to gather proof of his family meeting you and your family approving him. Try to get letters from family and pictures of you with his family and maybe pics with your family on webcam and him

How many days have you both spent together in his country or another country? How long have you known each other?

    Good Luck

He IS my fiance. We had planned to marry last year in Jordan and apply for I130 but that didn't happen. We feel like husband and wife but we are not married. We have been together for about a year and a half. I have spent a little over six weeks with him in person. We talk everyday.

The CO never mentioned suspecting we are married and because I knew that can be a flag, I addressed that in the i-129 supplment letter. I think the CO just flat out doesn't believe us.

We have gathered cell bills, photos of us together and me with his family, a letter signed by numerous members of his family, chat/logs from Skype and Viber, affidavits from my friends that have been in my home over the time I have known my fiance and have talked to him countless hours, proof of three visits in the last 11 months, emails, passport stamps, new intent to marry letters, his civil status letter (shows he is single) we even included a video of us together that we made for our friends (that we doubt they will watch). I have also added him to my bank account and I have included my cell phone bills. I don't know what else we can put together to show them. We are sending all this via Aramex tomorrow.

IF things go badly after waiting the months I am sure the review will take, I am going to give it all up here and move there. Sell the house, quit the job, sell the car and go there. It's tough when you love someone and you know it's real but some uninterested third party has the right to say 'we don't believe you'.

  5. My fiance had his interview with the US Embassy in Amman. He went this morning and the same CO interviewed him twice. The interviews lasted over one hour. We have red flags that I recognized before the interview and we were prepared for those. At the end of the interview, the CO told my husband he didn't believe that we had a valid relationship and gave him the 221G titled The Foreign Service of The United States of American Refusal Worksheet. It says in the section they marked:

This office regrets to inform you that it is unable to issue a visa to you because you have been found ineligible to receive a visa under the following sections of the Immigration and Nationality Act. The information contained in the paragraphs marked with an x pertain to your visa application. Please disregard unmarked paragraphs.

X Section 2219g0 which prohibits the issuance of a visa to anyone whose application does not comply

to the provisions of the Immigration and Nationality Act or regulations issued pursuant thereto. The

following remarks apply to your case:*

Please send the following by Aramex with a copy of this letter to the U.S Embassy in Amman:

    1. Civil Status Certificate from the Civil Status Department

    2. More substantive documents supporting the bona fides of your relationship with the petitioner.

At the bottom of the letter there is some language about denials more than one year old expire...

Are we denied? I feel like this is what the letter says or are we just in AP? What other substantive documents can we send? We had 70 pictures,

Skype logs, ticket stubs, phone bills and the Civil Status Certificate (they looked at none of this). We didn't have cards or letters that were mailed to each other because we talk everyday. I am not sure what else to send them. My fiance is already talking about me coming there to live.

The red flags are significant, age difference, I was married before to a Jordanian who divorced me after getting citizenship, he had applied before for tourist visa but was declined. I understand that they want to check all this stuff out. It doesn't change the fact that we love each other and want to be together. Any insight?

  6. My petition was forwarded to the US Embassy in Amman, Jordan on 4/19. I sent them an email yesterday to see if they received. They advised me that they have the petition and our interview is 5/30. That's less than a month. We haven't received packet 3 or 4. They told me they mailed the instructions to my address in US. I hope we have enough time to get everything done. Congrats to everyone who has been recently approved.

  7. I know it feels like everyone is attacking you. You must understand that each of has come here and asked 'What is the quickest way to get my loved one here?' and 'Can my spouse/fiance stay with me or visit while we are waiting?'. We were shocked when we heard the time lines and dismayed when a visit would be unlikely. People around here get upset when A) we feel like someone is trying to commit fraud to take a shortcut (because we have had to do it the right way and wait) and B) when someone thinks THEY should get special treatment because they think THEIR circumstances are unusual. The right thing to do if you want her to come and be with you is file for a K1 and wait for her or go there, marry her and file a K3 and then wait some more. Then you can stand in line with the rest of us who have filed petitions, submitted RFE's, waited for the NVC to do their jobs (while they give us the runaround) and wait for the Visa process to run it's course. It's not easy. It's not the way I'd choose for the process to be. I understand why it is this way and quite frankly, it is what it is.

  8. We usually Skype everyday. It doesn't have to be hours at a time even though it was at first. We just discuss how the day was..yada..yada..Maybe once or twice per week we talk for more than hour to two. We call each other through Viber. We send pictures and emails. I have visited twice and I am going back next week for two weeks. We share the same faith so we talk about religion. We talk about the trips we will take, our longterm goals and short term plans. We suggest YouTube videos for the other to watch and talk about current events. Mostly we laugh and joke with each other. It's tough but we do the best we can. I am not good at waiting...I know few people who are but we all do our best to keep in good spirits and know the reward is coming.

  9. For some reason when I tried to reply it didn't post so I will try again. I received my case number from NVC. I called them today and they gave it to me. My NOA2 was 03/28. They said to call next week and see if the petition has been shipped to the embassy. I am getting together all the documentation I think that I might need. I am going to Amman in two weeks to visit my fiance and want to have everything ready (as much as I can). Can anyone suggest anything I should do or can to make sure we have all we need when we receive packet 3?

  10. CONGRATS! :) how long did it take from the day your RFE was received to the day you got your NOA2? up to now it has been more than 3 weeks already we still havent received any confirmation regarding their decision.

My RFE was dated 03/09 and I received the notice on 03/16. I sent the requested document on 03/19 and it was received by them on 03/23.

I received notice today that they approved the petition on 03/28.

We have our interview date))))):thumbs: april 28th yahoooo, a light at the end of the tunnel

Congratulations and good luck with the interview!

  11. Sorry to hear about the RFE but at least you know exactly what you need to include.

As you said that it hadn't updated online, did you 'touched' date update? As ours still hasn't and we haven't heard anything but my partner forgot to date the petition!!! There was a million examples of evidence though, that would have been the only fault with the packet. Just wondering if we're to expect the same.

I know the waiting is killer! But to answer you question: No, the touched date has not changed. I mean really there are worse things than an RFE.
